...Not to be confused with the 'Swamp-donkey' thread, we're talking football here, guys 'n' gals.

So, do any of my fellow Spurs fans for whatever reason attend lower league matches in their local area? I raise this question as due to my bollock-clenchingly awful financial status & my remote location (Hicksville, North Yorkshire) I have about as much chance of getting to the Lane for a match as Jade Goody has of winning Miss World. Thus, I've started going along with my mate Mick to watch York City in the Blue Square Premier division. Saw York vs Burton Albion the other week which was...well...bloody awful. 0-0 & less interesting than the scoreline suggests, not to mention the arctic Northern weather. So I won't...Bugger. Anyway, tomorrow I'm off to see York vs Ebbsfleet (aka myfootballclub.com) which will hopefully be better.

Anyone else cheating on Mrs Spurs with a cheap lower league slag? Over to you, guys...:)

Used to regularly watch Brighton when I was in my teens. Lived nearby and couldn't afford more than a couple of trips to the Lane each season.

If I were back at home now, I'd be watching more of Lewes, too.

I was born in Northampton & most of my family are from that area so I follow Northampton Town's results every week and go to the occasional game at the Sixfields, I even have a scraft tied around one end of my bed, opposite my Spurs one.

I grew up in York, so I do like to see the Minstermen do well, not been to Bootham Crescent for about 10 years though.

I don't go to games but for some reason I always look out for Peterboros results. No idea why

I go to Norwich, and me and a few mates have got season tickets there for next year. I couldn't buy 3 trips to the lane for the price of a season ticket at Norwich.

Fair play to you Selb, but don't York play in red? I feel dirty on your behalf.

I used to watch Cambridge United quite regularly back when they had stars like Dion Dublin and Steve Claridge gracing the turf at the Abbey. Sadly I don't live in Cambridge anymore.

Crystal Palace..my whole Dads side of the family grew up in the Croydon area before eventually moving away so they are all Palace fans.

Always have a quick look to see how they are getting on.

Was brought up in Southend and went to a number of games as a kid. Still follow their results. I go to a game if I am back in the uk. Even have a team scarf.

I used to watch both Borehamwood and Hendon.

Thesedays I get to watch womens games here in Louisville which has a nice bonus of the players friends going along too. It's not a butch dyke sport here (they have Rugby for that) so usually there is some quality on show...

I'd prefer this to watching a 0-0 in the Conference or Ryman divisions in the pissing rain.
