Just listening to Spurs Ledge Graham Roberts on Talk Sport a few days ago about AVB, Bale & Levy. He goes on to talk about an Arab consortium bringing lots of money to Tottenham. First i've heard of it but sound good for our financial plans but what does this mean for the future of Spurs?

Another article about matching Adebayor's wages. How are we affording it suddenly?

I think it is a well known fact that Graham Roberts doesn't really know much about what goes on at the club.

There has been loads of rumours for the last few years that various Arab consortiums have been interested in investing in us.

Buying success is pretty much what Spurs have been doing for years now, as compared to mid-table clubs. You hope it "doesn't happen"?.... it's been happening. It's just not as news worthy as the amazing piles of cash that City and Chelsea have been splashing around. It's all relative.

Look at this window and tell me it couldn't be seen as buying success in the eyes of the clubs lower down the table. Yes, Modric will fund some of the ins, but he was a big buy at one point too.

Lloris (likely)
Vertonghen
Sigurdsson
Moutinho (likely)
Adebayor (likely)
2 more forwards (according to JJ)

That's some serious spending in terms of fees and wages, and none of the outgoings to fund this window are homegrown Spurs.

I'd like to think that this lot aren't at spurs for the money but AVB has maybe promised sexual favours. Why else would you join??

We bought the Double way back. Brown, White, Mackay followed expensive Jones and Blanchflower then after that broke all records to bring Greaves. We were known as the Bank of England club.

I really don't want a sugar daddy as I think it will go against everything that Levy has worked so hard to achieve here at the club.

I would also feel very disgruntled by it as I personally love Spurs because we are a football club, we try do things the right way, despite the modernity of the game and the huge amounts of money in the game. Makes me very proud to be a Spurs supporter to know that when we eventually win something it will be amazing not just for us, but for football in general and that you can win things with a well managed clubs, a sustainable structure and without having hundreds of millions of pounds of debt and gives hope to the rest of the football leagues.

If it is just investment in the club, then great so as long as Levy remains in control and the investors don't start taking liberties in the direction of which way the club is going or try to impose their will on us.
