I have this terrible feeling of deja vu. I must confess I have called for the head of numerous Spurs managers over the years, including Keith birkenshaw, the most successful manager I have ever seen at Spurs since I first went to Spurs over 40 years ago (just too young to remember Billy Nick). I have done so because i always had the feeling there was a manager out there that could do better for my team. Terry neil, David pleat, Gerry Francis, Christian Gross, Ossie Ardiles, George graham, glenn Hoddle, Santini, Jol and and and....
Many of the afore mentioned managers came to Spurs with incredible credentials, winners, motivators.... as was Ramos before he came to Spurs, I truly thought the board had head hunted the right man for the job, finally, a winner. Look at him now!!!!!
Seems we have a football club that can destroy even the most successful of managers. thats when I started to think we are cursed, something has happened in the past to bring such misery on WHL,maybe a curse.
I have read many of the threads tonight... we have some great players at the club right now... not like 1978... when we were very poor, terrible players, when we went down for the only time in our history, we are all scratching our heads wondering how the f**k are we in this position.
Its not as if we are playing well enough to think we will get out of this position, we look worse than derby did last season... we are only escaping being favourites for the drop, because of the fact we are THFC. but that will very soon change, probably after the Bolton game, lose that and we will be the bookies favourites to go down, how is this humanly possible????
None of us can see where the next point or result is coming from, and that is because of how badly we are playing, and because of a manager who cannot communicate with us the fans, all he can say is "we must work hard" what the f**k were they doing before the season started, not working hard?
Well, sorry for the long winded prelude... but in short, after many talented managers have passed through the revolving doors at WHL, it is my belief we are cursed... its my only possible conclusion...
