No. It wasn't shambolic. Because it's total bollocks, and if you're buying that pile of tripe then I'd ask for a refund and fast. If Tottenham Hotspur had wanted Juande Ramos to speak to the national press so soon after his appt, it would've happened. The fact it didn't should tell you that (thank christ) the club were actually fucking thinking straight.

I know its at a much lower level but Ince does a similar thing at MK. His assistant does all the interviews as he is just not comfortable talking to the media. The English media have a habit of twisting everything that is said anyway so you have to take what they print with a pinch of salt whoever it comes from.

Kinda reminds me of Shearer. He would purposely give mind numbingly boring interviews so in the end the press just ignored that aspect and let him get on with it.

Ramos is like "No spkeaka da English" and its like he dodged the press bullet which Jol dived in front of at every opportunity.


I just feel that Ramos knows how to "play" the game (in more than one aspect)

Everything goes through the club's PR machine. It's more efficient than the army's. Have you no idea how things work in modern football? We are not going to get any deep insights into tactical thinking, no, 'X is on his way out if he doesn't get his arse into gear pronto.' Although I think Jol's strength was being able to inject a bit of humour into his interviews while at the same time being very PR savvy. He came across as likeable without giving much away.
