Are we only 2 strikers away from a title tilt?

Everyone knows we are in need of some fire power, its pretty obvious, even to Harry. But if we had the strike force of anyone in the top four would we be challenging for the title?

Are we that close?

I know a lot of people will question the goals conceded column but I do attribute that to our lack of fire power as well. If we managed to kill teams off we would not have invited half of the pressure we have done this season. And of course Gomes has not exactly instilled confidence in the four in front of him.

lets keep it positive and look forward to an exciting transfer window and beyond

2 strikers and a top keeper and I genuinely believe we could challenge next year.

Yes. I really think we are that close.

I thought the same thing last summer, and in January, so in other words my hopes are not exactly up.

We are close in my opinion. Our last two games have proved that imo, we have been extremely comofortable in posession away from home against two of the best and in form teams in the league. I honestly think we have the best midfield in the prem. A few signings and we will be serious contenders.

However, what we unfortunately have to account for is the face that the teams above us will also be strenghthening, particularly Man City.

I think with strikers and a King like influence at the back if not the man himself it would see us possibly equipped to challenge for a title.

Definitely. If we had, say, Man Utd's strikeforce we'd have run away with the league by now imo.

but the rules dont change, they cant play more players. With the premier league expirince we have, and an added bit of desire we can beat anyone, no matter what they spend

It's what I've been saying very recently; that we're so close to having a truly fantastic team. And from, in years gone by, having a strikeforce that bailed us out, we've now achieved things in this season with a very threadbare one indeed. Certainly not an in-form or firing one.

Just imagine converting some of those home draws into home wins - we'd be third. But I think every club can play the "what if" game this year. It's been a very odd season, but one that I've immensely enjoyed - the rollercoaster has been fantastic.

Let's snag Europa League football by a truly great performance against Birmingham in front of the Spurs faithful and let us march into the Summer with our heads held high!

if ledley cant play more then 15 games next year then we need to get a top CB in because dawson and gallas havnt been great in last few months.
imo we need a keeper, a cb and 2 strikers. if we get that we'll be challenging for top 4 again

True. True. Anyway adding a heap of names to a squad can be problematic so could prove costly to Man City should they choose to do that.

Yes because teams will be forced to play us differently and this will lead to others (VDV etc) having bigger pockets of space to operate in.

If we could clone King (minus his knee problems) and find a truely great striker then I think we would be in business.

I think we need someone with pace that we can bring off the bench as well.
