I honestly can see Wenger being sacked this season. Might even be worth a cheeky punt on it, currently 9/1 at the bookies.

I'd wait to see what he does with the dosh from the sales of Fabregas and Nasri

If he doesn't spend the money then I can't see any other manager being able to do any better with their remaining players than what Wenger is likely to do. So although some fans will undoubtedly heap pressure on Wenger, I think he will survive as the owners will not be able to identify a decent replacement.

So, let me get this straight - he breaks rules and earns himself a one match ban. Unwilling to comply with that, he breaches the terms and is subsequently banned for a further two matches. They didn't appeal the first ban, yet they're appealing this one? When they know, as well as everyone in the world, that he is completely guilty.

Why? What goes on in the heads of those in charge that leads them to protest this ban? He's not denied it, no-one has denied it, they're basically just going, "aw, 'mon, this is really bad news, can't we just let it go and forget about it?"

NO! No, we can't, you cheating, pikey mother fuckers, just swallow the medicine and learn for the future, like you've never done in the past.

So who else thinks they are going to lose against Udinese?

They easily could do however since selling Sanchez & Inler they have spent only £14m and in general on a larger squad. I think something like 6-8 players arrived for that £14m. I hope they strengthen a lot more before the window shuts otherwise they will do what we did and not strengthen when the best oppertunity to do so came around and thus slip out of CL places for next season. More than likely next season's Serie A top 4 will see the likes of Milan, Inter, Napoli & Juve, Roma the main contenders for 4th.

The squad before the window opened would have caused problems for Arsenal but now with both squads weaker, I think Arsenal still look the better and alot due to their experiance in Europe.

I was speaking to a gooner colleague and asked him would he prefer to qualify and go and lose the next 5 games including us OR not qualify and win the next 5 league games

He said definitely lose 5 and go through. That just shows how big this game really is. I'm just gutted Udinese didn't score at Emirites. They had enough chances

It's the money more than anything. I'd like to see their books with £40m wiped off it for 2011/12. Something they've taken for granted for the last however many years.

Manager seems to have lost it.
2/4 of their best players gone, the other 2 are injury prone.
Best prospect out for two months.
Don't seem prepared to spend money.
Could very well be knocked out of Europe on Wednesday.

Falling apart at the seams on paper, but I've still got some belief in them. After all, they're Arsenal, surely something'll work?

I hope they get through to the next round, the more matches they have, the more likely they are to drop points in the league. We all know they won't be winning the Champions League and there would be the prospect of watching them take another pounding from Barca and maybe even seeing Fabregas knock them out!

They could play more games in the Europa League mate and if they took a pounding from Spartak tracktorrepairmen that would be even better.
Wilshire is out injured too now, poor old Arsene:rofl:

Bolton reject "derisory" Cahill bid from Arsenal:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14676338.stm

Ridiculous. Think I read somewhere this morning itwas something like £6m plus add ons. Has Wenger lost the plot completely? He's raked in £50m from Fabregash and Nasri, yet he insists on making a ridiculous offer like this for one of the most coveted CBs in the league?

Cahill only has a year left on his contract, so even though the media are claiming that he'll go for at least 15m or 20m I can see him going for 10m + add-ons. But 6m is a joke.

Anyone see his press conference earlier?

When question about the bid he said 'No the figure is not true' to which an interviewer made a cheeky comment 'It's less then' haha was brilliant. Wenger even replied 'You know me too well'.
