We are not good enough, Arsenal are. If we win enough games, we don't have to worry about what Arsenal are doing.

You make your own luck. Historically, we were in Evertons position where it was in our hands and threw it away.

Agree, you make your own luck. I remember Roy Keane making a comment about Spurs not too long ago. Something along the lines of 'there is a weakness running through the club'. Couldn't agree more.

I hate that phrase. It's a load of rubbish, by definition it is impossible. Luck isn't something that can be manufactured.

I dont call Fulop throwing 3 in his own net to secure Arsenals CL quailfication two seasons ago luck, I call it highly suspiscious.

I dont call the end of last seasons winning streak to pip us at the final hurdle luck. I call it unbelievable. Unbelievable in a highly suspicious way . Anyone remember the non existent penalty given by a linesman stood 100 yards away ?

I dont call half our team throwing up at West ham luck either. Just bad luck you may say. Again, I call it highly suspect given the circumstances.

The list goes on and on, but if anyone has any doubt, I urge you to take another look at Fulops performance on the last day in 2012. The fact he even played at all was suspiscious. How this performance and subsequent result was never investigated is beyond me.

But in at least two of those cases it was our fault because we handed them the initiative, even if they did have to cheat to take advantage of it.

If we had beaten a shit Aston Villa in 2012 in the 2nd to last game we were 3rd.

Had we beaten a relegated Wigan team very close to the end of last season we were 4th.

Even if Fulop had played the game of his life, we would have found some way to bottle it imo. Until we get players and a manager who really have a winning mentality (IE aim to win the league, not come 4th), we won't ever be more successful than them.

The point is that luck doesn't exist, what people attribute to luck is actually attributable to real causes.

We threw it away? Screw you Matty baby, it was that fecking Redknapp fella who threw it away, twice, in succession, due to consecutive end of season slumps & our season apparently ending in February :banghead: :(

You're in denial if you think that Arsenal get CL because of luck and not because of our own capitulations.

Woolwich haven't played an FA Cup match outside of Middlesex this year but more significantly .. ..

.. .. .. I truly believe they sold their non-sporting souls to Satan.

Jammy dodgy bastards.

They've consistently been better than us, that's the bottom line really.

I agree they have been lucky on a few occasions, but its much more to do with them being a better and more consistent side at the end of the day, as much I hate admitting that.

We had our chance to finish above them and royally fucked it up. That's not them being lucky really, its more to do with us sadly.

The OP is one of the most pathetic posts I have read on this site, and that says something.

And why the fuck are you not celebrating that Everton has lost points? That's good for us as well.

I agree with this. We can talk about conspiracies and how unlucky we are and how jammy Arsenal are but the fact is that they win more games than we do. They have the stronger mentality to ensure that they finish at a minimum in 4th place. It's embarrassing to blame dark forces at work and quite frankly I wish fans would worry more about Spurs being successful than usurping Arsenal, unless our fans see Arsenal as the benchmark for success.

The race for 4th isn't over yet, yes Everton royally messed up last night but I wouldn't mind betting that Everton will be back above the scum on Sunday night. Hull will be well up for it and dare I say may want to rough a few players up in readiness for the final whereas Everton can put things right against their old boss, they then have to play soton away and man city where normally these would be tough games but soton literally have nothing left to play for and man city after last night are now in the same boat. Optimistic yes but game over far from it.

It is over, Arsenal will win all of their remaining games with ease, it's Wenger's gift.

In general a table doesn't Lie... Much... But it's not necessary entirely true either. The last games of the season cannot be corrected... My point is that if you lose the first game vs Villa, you can mobilize and "correct" it... If you lose one of the last games it cannot be corrected... The table mostly tell approximately what level you are at, but it Could easily be 3 points better or worse...

a referee mistake in the 90th minute of the last game can ensure that the table is lying...

So maybe there isn't something called luck, but sure as hell there is something called unlucky.

That's why I lumped £500+ on Arsenal finishing in the Top 4 at odds of 4/5
Wenger knows how to do it everytime

Also helps when he's up against bottle jobs like Everton mind, Everton are just a pointless club; They moan about being a small club and not getting any media attention but then fuck it up when they get anywhere near the top.

Can't wait for Lukakku to bugger off next season and then watch them slide into mid-table.. Their fans are also big-headed and talk a load of shit.

Want some advice? Lump heavy on Arsenal winning at Hull.
Wenger will grind out a result at the KC and odds of 4/5 is like printing out money.
