Only certs for me are Lloris, Sandro, Vertonghen.
I struggle to see where we win out here. Ozil is an insanely good signing.

Add two injuries and one suspension to each team.
Now compare and in the 60th minutes substitute three players.
Who looks the strongest now?

If we'd announced Lamela and/or Eriksen today then how many of our fans would bat an eyelid at Ozil? Arsenal are having the last laugh like they always do but we've made some top signings. Ozil strengthens them considerably but I don't think it makes the gap between us some insurmountable task all of a sudden. Let's have some perspective ffs.

It's funny how attitudes have changed in the last 48 hours, suddenly we've bought a bunch of duffers and the scum are gonna be miles ahead after we lost 1-0 and they buy Ozil. Give us time.

I was looking back at some old squads and in 2005/06 this was our squad:

Robinson
Stalteri
Gardner
Dawson
King
Lee
Lennon
Tainio
Davids
Carrick
Jenas
Keane
Mido

This was arsenals:
Lehmann
Touré
Senderos
Campbell
Cole
Fabregas
Silva
Ljungberg
Pires
Reyes
Henry
Van Persie

If it weren't for the stomach bug we'd have finished above them that year. Once we get some cohesiveness we'll come good.

Might be worth mentioning they nearly won the Champion's League.

Unless Levy shoots Ozil and accepts life in prison, there isn't really a lot he can do...

He can shit on the paper the partnership's printed on.

Ozil is undoubtedly a great player, but do they need him? Attacking threat and scoring goals has never been Arsenal's weakness; it's their defensive capabilities and mental weakness that has let them down over the last 8 years.

Ozil won't solve those problems. And he won't even paper over these cracks by piling in with 20+ league goals a season.

If Arsenal sign another striker, a DMF, a CB and a GK then, yeah, they'll be looking really strong. But right now Ozil looks like a signing that the media has forced Wenger into making.

Did they not just sign a keeper?

Ozil no doubt is a world class player, but if you are going to spend that much on Ozil, why not up your bid and buy Suarez? That is who would have really strengthened them.

No sorry, on the phone. I'd read that they had agreed a deal for Viviano from Palermo although not sure if it has gone through.

Yeah I heard that rumour - don't think it's confirmed yet

But fair play if they sign him and he's good
