RVP, Podolski & Giroud up front next season :(.

A lot of chatter about RVP leaving, and that Giroud is the replacement. With Dzeko completing the merry-go-round by moving on to Bayern. In my opinion, Dzeko will do very well at Bayern. Not sure what will happen with Gomez. With teh way he is playing at the Euro's, Bayern could cash in.

In France you have many brilliant players, but why choose players just because of score ratio's? That is poor man's scouting :)

In general, I would rather choose the top 4th or 5th goalscorer than the first and second. Of course you need to take other things into consideration as well, but I am talking in general here.

Yep, why not judge a player on skin colour instead? Genius idea.

Don't get me wrong here. You know that is a joke. Like I have said before - too many managers have a bad sense of what a good team is. Too many judge a player based on score ratio. In general, number 3-4-5-6 on the top scorer list is a better player. There are exceptions, though....

The fee is an initial £12M , there are add ons if Arsenal win the league or a Cup during his time there so that brings the final fee to £ 12M

Lets hope RVP goes barca
I wouldn't mind RVP staying at Arsenal actually. I don't like to see Wenger getting cash to spend. Let them have RVP for a few more seasons, and I think his score tally will decrease.

Even by your standards this is an absolute doozy.

RVP is a top international player, but people are thinking too highly of him. I don't think he will keep up the same score amounts as in the past seasons. I would rather see him stay, and let them lose some money on selling him later.

If Arsenal sign this fella I can't see him fitting in alongside RVP and Podolski up top.

At the moment RVP has been playing incredibly well as their main central forward with natural pacey wide players such as Wallcott, AOC and Geremi playing either side of him.

Podolski can play the left wing / attacker role (although this seemed an odd signing given the wide players already available to Wenger) but if they signed Giroud where would he play?

If RVP is staying then pushing him out wide to accomodate Giroud would be daft, so I'm guessing Giroud is either being earmarked as a replacement or back-up.

£12 mill for Giroud!! Good to see Arsenal splashing cash away. Top goal scorers is not always the best players.

Heard £25 mil and 220 k has been offered to Arsenal and Van Persie. I've met a nice lady who deals with player finance for City. Very interesting.

I would rather have him at Arsenal, because I don't like to see Wenger using money on new players, although he has not been as good in the market as he used to be. If he goes to City, he might succeed there, but if he stays at Arsenal, I don't think he will be as dominating as he has been.

It's quite funny to hear Wenger describe Giroud using almost the same words he used to describe Chamakh.
