Udogie and VDV have taken the two most clear yellow fouls in this game and neither were given.

Club has to politely point this out to the powers that be

I actually doubt Ange plays exactly the same way every single game because that would be incredibly stupid.

I don't think Ange is a stupid man.

I'm sure they focus on different things in training dependent on the opponent.

Out of interest, during half time does the ref review his performance, cards etc?

VDV has been quietly better than Romero so far this season. He looks very composed. Mad really.

Maddison doing what he does. We always have a chance with him and Son on the pitch.

Sarr >> Hoj
Johnson >> Solomon

Not immediately but as the game goes on I reckon.

The replay was pretty damning. He sprinted to get in front of the ref. The ref told him to get away and then Biss doubled down in his face. Compared to all of the dissent cards we've had this year it's probably the most clear cut one.
Fully deserved under the new laws. We’d be screaming at the ref if it was one of their players.

have you not watched Ange interviews? This is his style, he said there will be pain along the way but he doesn’t change how his team plays.
I have watched the Ange interview. Doesn’t mean it’s not concerning that a LB and 2 or our 3 CMs are on yellows with 45 mins still to play.

Disagree. The player reaction to refs is ridiculous and football is one of the only sports where this is deemed acceptable at almost all levels.

He didn't even necessarily get anything wrong. He played the advantage, we didn't take it. One of the clearest fouls you'll ever see from Sarr and then Bissouma goes ploughing in to complain despite there being multiple warnings to not backchat the refs this season.

As long as the refs stay consistent with this, I'll be happy.

This constant aggression and the time wasting are two of the things I'd love to see changed in the football culture.
And therein lies the whole issue.

It's ridiculous they way we play it. We are far to casual and always look like losing it. City do it all the time but look very comfortable doing it. I'm not saying just boot it up the field anywhere but play it out up the field not across our goal every time.
You only become good at it if you keep doing it at training and in matches. This is our style of football now so buckle up for the ride 😉

This is there for either side let's be honest. Kinda didn't want the half to end as we grew into it and got better.

Their best chances came from poor passes out of the back, but we know Ange doesn't want them to change.

Big second half coming up. COYS.

White should've gotten the yellow retrospectively. That's the issue - the utter lack of consistency in his decisions.

And therein lies the whole issue.

Its been all of about 4 games so far. I've seen them do it quite often so far. We've also already benefitted already from the extra time given for time wasting this season.

Let's give them a chance shall we.

That would be cowardly. How are we ever meant to develop if we baulk the first time it gets tested. Much better than sitting back and lumping it. Fuck that.
I’m not talking about simply lumping it. We are being pressed from our keeper to our strikers. We need to adapt to the game.
