My god that was so stressful, only getting it together now and I didn't even get to see the match. In Munich Airport and I had to go to a security gaurd and warn him during the last few minutes if the match. If we hadda scored I knew I'd go batshit, and being on my own I wouldn't have anyone to explain it.

I found myself watching that second half in a state of calm-safe-excited-appreciation
After a rocky first 20 minutes in the 1st half, I saw the team find their rhythm and their poise.
And from then on, I just wasn’t worried.
There were no background nagging thoughts of defeat, humiliation or regret.
It was a totally different experience to previous seasons.

There is a backbone and authority in defence that makes me feel safe.
There is pace that makes me feel excited.
There are turns and ball control that gives me hope and peace of mind.
There are youngsters playing as seasoned veterans.
There’s Sonny scoring goals freely without the over-thinking of last season.

And finally (and most importantly) there’s a manager and coach as cool as a bloody cucumber on the sideline, that delivers top-notch motivational speeches before, during after each game….with sophisticated laidback pronunciation and an Aussie twang.

Fair Dinkum.

Yeah, not convinced.
IMO, the fact that you're both debating it makes it not "clear and obvious" by definition. Personally thought it was a stonewall red card as he jumps in really late, recklessly and with the studs up, but it's definitely debatable depending on how one interprets the rulebook.

Just to say, I'm 50 years old. I shouldn't be like this 😅

The ''Take a Draw Now' Society
would like to thank the many thousands of SC members
that joined the Society for this fixture.
I think we can take a lot of credit for the result
We will have to find a bigger venue for our next meeting.
Borrowing the Scout hut is just not gonna work now.

Many thanks once again

Thought the stage was set for Romero to power home the winning header in the 100th minute to make up for the bad luck he’d had.

Would have been the sweetest finale, topped off with a dart finish celebration.

So , all these Goon mugs that over valued every single one of their players so none of ours would get in...hahah embarrassing..

I know most are pissed at the ref but it's a nailed on penalty in the pro game. If anything I'm glad he used common sense because a red card to Romero is pretty much expected there once the GK has dived the wrong way.
Sorry that is wrong.
The way the keeper goes is totally irrelevant unless Romero is looking right at the keeper.
He has no idea what the keeper behind him is doing and there is nothing deliberate about the "handball"

In the instance where a player is stopping a certain goal, it's just that, they are aware of what they're doing.

Also the ref saw the "handball" and immediately did the knock out gesture as if not a handball.
He then did what he was told with the added show of going to the monitor for it to be "his decision".

It was a late challenge but why do you think it should have been a red?
Late, completely out of control and if he'd been a few cm off where he was he breaks Vicario's leg. Absolutely horror challenge. Last season Emerson got a red for a late kick ffs, this was far beyond that in terms of how unsafe it was.

Last season, we lose a game of that intensity by 3 goals. The progress that big Ange has made in a short space of time is very impressive.

Vicario either needs to squeal like a stuck Saka/Martinelli Pig OR change shirts to get that decision...

Also, when we equalized (second time) my phone thought i was in danger and some alarm started and "emergency SOS" was on the screen...

I started laughing until someone started speaking on the other end of the phone

I didn't even realize that was a feature on my phone and just hung up.
