I never watch Arsenal highlights unless they lose I watched EL and defensively they were cocking up often . they are going to be nervous as hell at the back - we need to capitalise on that and stay sound ourselves.

same...
The 2010 stat penetrate a negative vibe into my mind and allowed doubt to rear its head, I could see the real world through SPURS glasses once again. Score draw for me (if we're lucky).

A draws a draw I know...but hell it'll feel like a defeat. I want us to be ruthless. I want a performance like we put up at Old Trafford. The time to dominate this lot has arrived. We've suffered enough in the Thierry Henry/ Petit/ Pires years. It's our turn now. I want those 5-1 victories on their ground.

Walked my grandson to school on Friday morning when he got into a bit of banter with another child's grandad, he was an Arsenal fan and ought to have known better. As I approached he baited my grandason with " Anyway Harry Kane's injured" and it was this point I intervened, or tried to but just as I'm starting to speak my kid responds with a shrug of his shoulders and "Yeah right he'll still score against you" flicked his hand as to say now off you run, which the old boy pretty much did.
My grandson is 6 years old, I'm very proud of him.?

Just so we are clear, because people kept posting in the Zagrab thread what Arsenal were doing it became really frigging annoying. I DO NOT want to see any posts about what Arsenal are doing in this thread..ok? ;P

If our front 3 continue their recent form we'll be grand.

3 points would be nice after that Chelsea result.

It's curious how many people - fans and commentators - are focusing on Spurs and Arsenal as having weak and shoddy defences. Along with Aston Villa, Arsenal and Tottenham have the joint third best defence in the league, after Man City and Chelsea.

I suspect it has to do with the current North London tendency to concede easy, stupid or sloppy goals and expensive equalisers at key moments. Neither team concedes many goals overall, in part because neither team concedes many shots.

Our record and goal difference are better than Arsenal's because of more goals scored (11), not because of fewer conceded (0).

I swear I didn't imagine this but about two weeks ago he was absolutely laying into this Arsenal team saying they are a distinctively average team??

These pundits...anyone would think they were well informed ?

All of the Arsenal fans were laying into it, yet when it comes to NLD they are always super confident for some reason. I see alot them saying that they are better than us defensively and yet they give out about their defence making mistakes. No idea where this confidence comes from lol.

Shitting it.

It's almost worse when we are playing ok. I think everyone here is deep down expecting a big performance from Kane and Bale, preferably including a Bale screamer from outside the box. I fear for the forum if this doesn't come off!

He’s such an arse hat isn’t he, quite clearly been on the Kestrel Super Strength again.
Never been more confident going into a NLD, even if they score one or two I can see our movement, if we are on it, tearing their back line to pieces. 1-3.

Love the optimism, but it wasn’t that long ago that Brighton made us look like absolute chumps. Not to mention a broken Liverpool embarrassing us and that pathetic surrender against Chelsea.

We’ve been better lately, but against mostly piss poor teams. Even against Fulham we got dominated for 45 minutes.

Big test tomorrow to see how far we’ve come.

Yeah but we played 3 at the back against Liverpool with doherty as a LWB and 3 at back against Brighton with Davies and Sissoko as wingbacks.

Yeah agree. Arsenal always seem to be up for it. Recently we have had a better first 11 but they have been more consistent in ability when they play us and we have been prone to just collapsing. So nervous.

In our last bunch of games we've lost to Chelsea, City and West Ham and we've beaten West Brom, Fulham, Burnley and Crystal Palace which is pretty clear cut no surprises.
We lose to top half teams and beat bottom half teams so nothing exceptional but what does that mean for the Arsenal game?
Do we think they are a top half team or a bottom half team?
From another angle do we think our latest attacking form mean previous results can't be taken as an indication?
