Toby had to start. I can maybe understand Foyth over Jan because of time he was out but to pair foyth and jan together who have barely played together was absolutely criminal from poch.
Vertonghen should have been dragged at half time. he lost his head after the penalty and didn't recover. it happens in football but poch wasn't brave enough.
Dier subbed at half time. He was on a booking so couldn't make a tackle and we was crying out for fresh legs in midfield.
If we held on to 2-1 for longer and bought lucas on for counter attacking pace maybe could have got more.
Emery exposed our weaknesses on the day. They didn't actually play great football, they simply played wide and played the channels. Targeted Aurier/Foyth over the top and targeted vertonghen. very clever and paid off.
