An impressive second half performance, entirely due to our manager, who showed balls of steel to set the team up the way he did and made the most of his limited resources, after been badly let down by his players (some more than others) in the first half. Methinks he's been wanting to try the 3-man defence for a while now but knew he'd be crucified for it under any other circumstances. I expect that second half to be the turning point of our season.

We are just as good as last season with Redknapp, Van der Vaart, Modric, Parker and 11 men.

We played much better today in an attacking sense than we did then, even with 10 men. Imho.

Sometimes you have to try to take the positives and for me we are obviously weaker than we were but we are still not that far away.

With all of our players fit we are a decent team and are still outside hopes of a top place imo.

However, our squad is very thin and having to play Huddlestone, Dempsey etc we are midtable.

Carroll has got to be given a chance now because at least we can keep the ball moving.

I really feel for AVB. It has been said before but without the players he desires and without a healthy squad it is hard to put together a competing side. That being said I haven't agreed with everything he has done. But I can't give up on him and the team. I believe we can string a series of wins together.
