Three at the back was a (initial) positive, if only we had someone to play right wingback (BAE as left wingback).

I came away really impressed by that look.

Can you imagine Verts/Caulker/Kaboul at the back? That's pace, positional awareness, strength, everything you could really want. Add a Toby Alderweireld to the bunch and we could really make that a great strength.

But, I actually think Walker could provide as a true RWB. It would reduce a little bit of the defensive responsibilities that seem to put his brain on overload. The question becomes can he be positive enough in attack? At times I think he looks great, then the next I just don't know what the hell he is doing.

Hudd is anything but fat...he's built like a tank. Would love to see you say that to his face...I'm thinking you wouldn't.

If he is as threatening and aggressive in life as he's on the pitch i'd feel pretty safe banging his mum and mailing him the dvd.

on the other hand he if did want to beat me up i'm pretty sure i could escape - i can walk at a pretty brisk pace don't cha know!

My post was meant as pub talk banter/convo...sometimes that can get lost on translation over the Internet. I'm glad it's sparked some hilarious replies (lmao)...

And that my friend...is one of the best I've seen in my 8 years of being on here...almost spat my wine out when I read it...during a family Sunday meal!!!

Quality!! Still chuckling now!

Should of kept Danny rose as cover IMO

A lot of people don't rate him, but after watching every Sunderland match this year I don't know how you couldn't. He's been great with positioning, has steadily gotten smarter with challenges, and he's really becoming a technical defender. My goodness we could really have used him this season.

He's had 2 fantastic sliding tackles already today, both were as technical as possible and perfectly timed. One at the top of the box, the other from behind that derailed a counter.

We all knew he had the physical tools, but now it seems like the mental aspect is there as well.

Agree . Looking good today and looked great in the derby v Newcastle. I hate how naughton is a right footed full back, abit like tarricio , left backs should be stronger with there left

I have thought since he got that initial few games that he had the tools to make a decent option, but Rose needs to be playing every week and really learn his trade at Left Back. I think it was the right decision to loan him out and hopefully we can benefit from it in future seasons.
