Ozil on £350,000!!! Fucking hell, the world's gone mad.
Easy enough to justify when you look at how much it would cost to replace him. The cost of his annual salary (£18.2m) wouldn't even buy you an average player nowadays let alone somebody who'd walk into the first team and replace a player like Ozil.

If you'd said to me that their transfer window would see them sign Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang and renew Ozils contract I'd have been really pissed off but when you think about it none of them are going to change the half-arsed way Arsenal play or how they approach games. Aubameyang drifts through games and contributes less than Berbatov used to.

Oh, and presumably, should he leave, they're going to have to pay Giroud a loyalty bonus as well.

There must be something not legit with that, no?

I guess it depends how it's pushed through.
Could well just be that Arsenal have had to pay an extra £1.3 million fee for PEA, rather than sending Chelsea the payment themselves.
Alternatively it could also just be utter bollocks

I'm glad he's staying. £350K a week for a 29 year old player who tends to go missing in the big games for the scum is good news for us.

Not as good as losing him for free and having to spend most of their transfer budget replacing him.

£350K a week would pay the wages of two world class players. I'd rather they wasted it on the underperforming Ozil.

World class players? Not sure about that when Walcott was on £140k a week and AOC is on that at Liverpool now :D

Brilliant, now he'll become even more lazy knowing he's pulling in £350k. Stinks of desperation by their management to appease the fans whislt not addressing the glaring holes in the rest of their squad

Giroud to Chelsea confirmed, what an odd signing for both parties. Arsenal for selling another player to a rival and Chelsea for signing a player who's never been particularly stellar.

To put it in words he'd understand: très bizarre, non?

He'll do a job for them. Conte doesn't give a shit about long term.

I think them letting Giroud sign for Chelsea is Arsenal pretty much giving up on top 4, very strange decision
