Amazing you can find a Greek kid for £2m who looks better than a German international for £35m ?
Just shows how lazy most scouting networks are.

They brought in a nice few quid selling the Ox pre-season and some more for Theo but the stock is dwindling
now Sanchez has gone.

They are supposed to have this famous £££'s war-chest but they don't want to dip in to it.

Yep, I mentioned earlier today that they'd made £3m over the last two transfer Windows so it seems strange that they only have £50m to spend next time. I guess the lack of champions league football is starting to bite.

The wages they pay is frightening. Bellerin, good player has been on £100k per week,
Ozil filthy lucre and the rest are on good wedge as well. Auba and Alex Exlax must be on fortunes also

Fans like to say their stadium is bought and paid for but truth be known they still owe something like £250
million which is being paid down in a manageable mortgage like way.

Good job they draw in those 60k fans every week.

The Europa tv rights money can't be anywhere near the CL wonga

So Arsenal rest a handful of players, lose late on, and both Mkhitaryan and Ospina are now injured. What a day for them!

They - The 'Bank Of England' club - will be able to say they can't compete with the big teams with transfers and wages.

I feel so indifferent about Arsenal these days. I never thought that I would see the day when I felt like that.

Anyone know our record points distance for finishing ahead of them?
Think you would have to go back to when it was 2 points for a win & calculate what it would be in modern points system.. we finished 25 points ahead of them double winning season.. so that would be my quess

Cadena SER in Spain believe Arsenal and Juve are in talks over Bellerin 50m (Euros probably).

wenger's biggest contribution to l'Arse came from his identification and recruitment of: Viera, Petit, Anelka (for one seasons work and a huge transfer fee) and Henry. Viera and Petit in particular.....transformative recruitment.

Never got anywhere near that success subsequently other than Sanchez.

France Football says Luis Enrique wanted 230m Euros to spend in the summer if he took over at Arsenal, but the magazine then says it's just Luis Enrique's way of rejecting them and waiting for Chelsea.
