Well that is one of the most ridiculous things I've read on here.

Benny is more than capable of playing in the EPL, and he was an imperative member of our side from 2008 through 2012.
Harry last year said he was one of the best LB's EPL during that period you mentioned but is now a shadow of that player when he was struggling in the championship

It takes a leap of faith that the player who wasn't good for QPR in the second half of the season will be good enough for the top 6

I'm responding to the guy who said he is a League One level player, which is up there with the most ridiculous stuff I've read on this forum.

True but you said he is capable of playing in the PL, which last season harry said exactly what you said and adding he was one of the 3 best LB's but also added he looks nothing like that player at spurs. QPR fans wanted SUK-Young to play instead of him, though worth noting QPR are just miserable shits.

That said I did watch and there was a match against barnsley and he was making those lazy errors he did for us under AVB

One of a number of players Comolli bought who had a suspect mentality (Taarabt, Giovanni, Bentley, Boateng, Gomes, Pavyluchenko, Bostock, Parrett); avuncular Harry was able to charm performances out of him, but AVB had no idea how to handle him, and his head seems to have gone completely now. There's no way back for him at Spurs, and he would be best off with a fresh start back in France.

He was dire for QPR, an embarrassment at times.

no he wasn't, this is a classic case of rewriting history. he had one bad game towards the end of the season, against leicester i think, after that he missed the final few games through injury. it's typical of a football fan to only remember the last game, now it's "benny couldn't cut it in the championship" when he was performing perfectly fine and started every game when available. i read qprdot.org weekly to see what they were saying about him and it was almost all positive, i'll take their opinions over a handful of spurs fans with an agenda. he also had a strong showing at the world cup but again, the only thing fans will remember is what he did last and unfortunately that was getting into a fight with a teammate - that wasn't benny's finest hour but then again it's a surpising reaction from someone who is claimed to "not give a fuck" about football.

He has no place in our squad anymore, far too disruptive. He played 2 ok games then nutted a team mate, Of course thats what people will remember, its not really an agenda is it.

Gomes doesn't belong on that list IMO - he gave his all, but was essentially bullied out of the game by the likes of Hansen and Lawrenson, labelling him a 'clown' whenever he made errors that they would bend over backwards to excuse when Cech etc did similar, and ignoring his many quite incredible moments or damning them with faint praise.

i think it is an agenda, probably harking back to the days of when he dared to say he likes money. i find it strange how everyone backs a fired manager over a player who is still employed by this club, i didn't hear of all his disruptive attitude in the five years he was our first choice lb in a cl quality side, yet because avb comes in and boots him out the door it's just accepted that he's a bad apple? maybe avb is just a little weirdo who felt threatened by a player he couldn't treat like a robot? if ade still has a place in the squad - another who is supposedly a "disruptive influence" then benny should be too. when all things are said and done, if benny is sold then so be it, i support spurs but there is a lot of nonsense being written about him.

I couldn't give a monkeys what their fans say. I have eyes, they work. Hes useless and has been for a few years now. A complete liability.

I have no agenda, I like the lad.

Im no AvB fan and i've always liked Benny. But I think his time was under Harry and we have moved on since then and so should he.

If thats an 'agenda' then yeah, ive got an agenda.

Blake is starting to remind me of the child who loves their rabbit but hugs their rabbit too hard, accidentally kills it and is now refusing to let go.

i don't care if he goes but a player who was part of our most successful side in recent history should be shown a little more respect.

Respect is a two street Blake.

Why has BAE attitude become so toxic? I've not kept up with him since he left QPR

Season starts next week and redknapp hasn't even bothered to make an sort of attempt to keep him at QPR which says a lot. Neither has any other club showed any firm interest, he'll be stuck training alone picking up mega wages until his contract runs out

Girlfriends a QPR fan. Said she preferred both Young and Traore at LB than BAE.He was definitely shit for them though. Basically showed the side of him we all disliked, more or less all of the time. Far too lazy and lethargic. And I'll take my girlfriend and her familiy's word, and other QPR fans word over someone with a convenient BAE avatar.

He's gone backwards an awful lot. Not worth his contract anymore. Accept it.
