I don't hate Ade and I don't get the hate he gets. I'm not happy with the performances he puts in, but on his day he can give defenders a rough time.

I'd like to see him moved on, but for the time being we can't do that so let's get behind him and whoever plays.

I like it actually. Let see what happens.
Yeah, I'm fine with that. Ade may drift out to the left as he tends to do. Quite a fluid frontline. Lets just keep positive. A win and we're back in the hunt.

In a side that struggles to score goals or create clear cut chances, we've left out Kane and Lamela, who have accounted for 11 goals and 7 assists so far this season. That's a big call from Pochettino. Adebayor's inclusion is a real sore point, clearly, and if we lose this match, the pressure on him is going to be immense.

That said, we have enough quality to win this. I like the Soldado/Adebayor combination, though I would've dropped Chadli and had Lamela play on the right.

It does take the Michael when Poch says he's picking players on merit but at some point the real Adebayor is going to turn up and no better game than today.

Eriksen lucky to be involved mind over Lamela and we need to be wary of Villa on the counter so need Masonto be more vigilant defensively considering him and Capoue will be doing all the donkey work in the hub with little support elsewhere.

Very happy to see Poch mixing it up and playing with two strikers.

Very sad to see one of those two strikers is Ade.

Mixed emotions.

No, it's a 4-4-2 diamond imo. Capoue as DM, Eriken left, Chadli right, Mason as CAM. Bobby and Ade up front imo.

That's what the way the teamsheet is written seems to suggest....

well i wasnt expecting that. if you're gonna play soldado then surely you would want lamela on the pitch too? same wavelength doesnt cover it, their goal against brighton shows that.

Pochettino what are you doing? Unfortunately I'm beginning to think our manager suffers from the affliction that has plagued so many of our managers and is doing anything but the obvious just because he wants to prove he's cleverer than everyone else.

Doubt poch has abandoned his system, just soldado or ade playing as one of the 3 support attackers.

Could be interesting, there's no shock in ade playing. He is vice captain and won't be dropped. A weird dark mirror of avb's lack of ade confidence

To play 442 you need width and pace.

I don't see much of either I'm afraid.

No really, I'm seriously afraid!!!!!!!!

Glad Soldado is starting.

Who says we're playing 4-4-2? Why can't Soldado play in the hole in a 4-2-3-1?

All it proves is you cant listen to Poch's words anymore. Actions speak louder than words.
