I've been thinking about Soldado as a right wide forward for a little while. I'm not sure if that's where he'll play but he does a lot of his best work down the right channel. If Adebayor can get into the box it could be effective. The trouble with Soldado has often been that while he's linking up play there isn't anyone getting into the box. If Chadli has the ball on the left then Soldado needs to get into the box to join Adebayor, and if Soldado has it down the right Chadli needs to get into the box. If we can get 2 men into the box and Eriksen sniffing in around the edge of the box we'll have a more options to score.

Having said that it will most likely be Eriksen and Chadli out wide but the same applies. They need to get into the box when the ball is on the opposite wing.

The only issue I have is dropping Lamela. He's our leader in assists and is the only one who has consistently created clear cut chances. Chadli on the right doesn't take advantage of his skill set, and it'll take away his ability to cut inside and get in on goal. Still, I like that starting four well enough and we should win comfortably.

Let's give the side a chance before declaring it a disaster.

I like Soldado starting and Adebayor has a good record vs Villa.

Would've loved to see both Kane and Soldado start. Was obvious that Poch was going to keep faith with the Undroppable tho. Always scares me to see Younes in the starting eleven too. Guy is past it -sadly.

Don you have any sense of self awareness? Do you not realize how much of a twat you come acros

This is the biggest one for me. Our two most productive players nowhere to be seen in a PL XI
He sounds like my 7 year old nephew when I'm telling him off.

Drops Erik in favour of keeping Ade in the side.

WTF is going on at our club. Seriously?

Against Villa, this could have been a chance for more goals from Kane. I hope he gets some playing time and NOT just the final few minutes.

we cant defend for shit. it would make sense to try and balance that up a bit by putting on the one striker we have who looks sharp and is scoring.

But thats just me.

Naughton should provide more width down the right than Dier and Chadli will operate there instead of Lamela so at least there's a bit more of a balance struck than before when it was all down the left flank.

Going to be interesting to see how Soldado is deployed and how he will link with Adebayor.

I think balence may be the saving grace.

This game is going to be heavily dependant on our full backs.
