Yeah that was me, did a few summers working for Hawksbee and Jacobs on the phones/runner/assistant producer/bitch. Even hosted an overnight show when someone was off sick.

Anyway Paul Hawksbee is a lovely bloke, not just because he's a Spurs fan. Andy Jacobs is an unfunny twat who whines constantly, and Durham wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire - he's liked by some there (the biggest dickheads) but hated by most of the office staff.

His entire show is a money-maker and the whole team behind it work to make it as irritating as possible. The Daily Arsenal feature was brought in just because pissed off Arsenal fans made up the highest percentage of their callers.

I won't say anymore as there are some decent people working there but he's a top order **** basically.

Can't say I'm surprised. Glad to hear you say hawksby is a nice bloke as I've always found him reasoned but thought my spurs bias might be the overriding factor in reaching that conclusion.

I don't really see how he can blame AVB at all. I see the argument like this (like most rational yids)

We lost 3 great players (King, VDV, Modric) that would make any team/squad weaker

Once you accept that we have a worse team than last year then you look at the position and the points tally we have received in the last year of 2.

The fact we got more points with a weaker squad proves that AVB has done a great job.

The stupid thing is that all year he has been saying there is nothing between us and the goons from a player point of view but now we have finished below them he changes his tune and says that this ihe wrost Arsenal team under AW but he ignores the fact that our squad is not as strong

With all the nonsense being posted in here at the moment I came into this thread expecting someone advocating getting AVB back as manager!

Just did some research on chinese forum. He did quite well in China. 2nd place in the league (the putting pressure trophy), and it is not a bad achievement considering how good the champion is (GZ Evergrande is the winner of the league from 2011-2017, and you know they had the Barca player Paulinho last season). Shanghai SIPG also got into the semi-final of asian version of Champion league.

However, they are a lot of criticisms as well. And most of the comments are quite familiar. Firstly, it seems that his character hasn't improved. He had conflicts with the China FA and some star players （Elkeson）. Also, the fans think that their team was under-performing in big matches due to AVB's tactics and stubboness. His tactics, basically, is the Tottenham 12/13, and using Hulk as Bale in the Bale F.C.. He seems to be the same man who left us.

Oh, and he almost bottled a 4-0 first leg lead.
