Loved avb and thought it was the right appointment but this season his team selections have been questionable.

Good luck to the bloke but the way we have played at home this season has been unacceptable.

Im just looking forward to seeing us play a game and score....it shouldnt have come to this.

I think AVB had to go but that's patently a false comparison.

Rogers was allowed to keep his only world class player and AVB had his sold.

Rogers didn't have 100m to spend either and Liverpool started the season really bright without Suarez. So no, I think your comparison is lazy.

I may well have had enough now, its no longer a roller coaster its now just a merry go round.
I'll give it one more go but if we get Capello or take Redknapp back I'm retiring.
Come and watch Newport County with me....League 2 is a lot more fun and its nice to support Justin Edinburgh! ;)

Why didn't we learn from the team that routed us yesterday, who stuck with their manager last season through a pretty tough season, realising the transitional problems.

AVB was making mistakes, but surely, for some of the above reasons (and others) he deserved more time.

People were ridiculing Rodgers last season. Look at what Liverpool are doing now that the new players they bought the previous two/three seasons have bedded in properly.

I was embarrassed at yesterday's performance, but I'm also embarrassed by today's.

I normally agree with majority of what you say but even with their transitional problems last season the dippers didn't get royally butt-fucked 5-0 at home. That was a pretty average Liverpool team made to look like Barcelona.

Quite clearly something was desperately wrong with the club/team and something had to be done. His position was untenable I don't see what option the board had.

Why would Capello choose to come to us? Maybe after the World Cup but if we where waiting that long i would prefer to go for someone else. At 67 this is probably his last chance at taking a bigger footballing nation to the World Cup and i really don't know why he would leave Russia for us. Regardless of Capello's successful history i really feel we need to go with a younger coach who we know will be with us for many years to come. As mentioned before, De Boer would have to be the best available choice.

I've been embarrassed by 3 performances in the last 2 months. Surely he had to go. Losing 0-3 0-6 & 0-5 showed something was seriously seriously wrong

Just got home and saw the news, I'm not surprised. I don't hate him and I wish him lot of luck in the future. I think his style could work better in any other league.

Exciting and firmly mid-table. This squad is great but not as good as people make out. Come January Harry will have re-signed Robbie Keane and gone all out for Rio Ferdinand and Phil Neville.

Seriously, are you suffering from some sort of memory loss? When did we finish mid-table under Harry except for the first season he was here (when Ramos had us on 2pts after 8 games)?

With f*ck all investment or support from our wise & beloved chairman, Harry delivered a magnificent run in the Champions League (you know, that competition played by the "big clubs" that we've only been in once...) and finished 4th, 5th, 4th in consecutive seasons..... so what would you give for us to finish fourth this season?

Rogers would have absolutely no say in whether Suarez was going or not.

Madrid made Bale their priority and spent mega bucks acquiring him - if Madrid want Suarez this summer then he's off, whether the fans, media or John W Henry likes it or not.

I'm not suggesting Rogers did have a say...the fact is they kept Suarez and we sold Bale. Regardless of the surrounding factors that creates a situation whereby it's unfair to compare his position to Andre's.

Yep De Boer or we gamble on Pochettino for me. Don't think Hiddink or Capello are options.

Just not fucking Hoddle or Sherwood.

To meet long term goals is to meet a series of short term targets. The fact is there was zero sign of any progression condusive to meeting those long term goals.
If we were languishing in the bottom half and out of the Cups then absolutely but the long and short of it is is that it's a long arduous season and we are currently 6 points off 2nd, in the last 32 of the EL and quarters of the Carling Cup.

Yes the performances on the pitch need to improve but if that is seen as zero progression then fuck me sideways!

Capello is/was a superb manager but he plays ultra conservative style of football which was one of the reasons he was sacked from the Real Madrid job (for the second time) despite winning La Liga

Not doubting JJ's info but it sounds like a smear campaign coming out of the club. AVB was the person who asked for Balidini to come in a TD why would he then refuse to meet up and talk about players.
Doubt thats the case. In his press conference yesterday he refused to "go public" and discuss transfers, and then used the royal "we" to say "we are happy with the team". Arrogant bastard.

Sounds like he didnt get the players he wanted and then put the ones he didnt on the bench. Why else bench Lamela after scoring in europe? I reckon he treated him badly all through, including in training. I expect he will be awesome under a manager with half a brain who believes in him!
