I cannot, with any single fibre of my being, fathom how some people think bringing back Harry fucking Redknapp is a good idea.

Because he achieved what no other manager delivered in the last 10-15 years, and also got us playing some stunning football!! you obviously think he did jack shit!!

Until teams came to the Lane to shut up shop (something they do to us every week now irrespective of the team) then we were treated to such memorable home games as Norwich, Stoke, Wigan, Blackpool and Wolves (and they were with Bale, Modric and VDV so not really much excuse)
But it sure was exciting losing/drawing at home to those sides.
It is amazing how redacted the Redknapp reign has become. Lets not forget the two FA Cup semi final humiliations, losing to Pompey and not turning up to Chelsea. Conceding 5 plenty of times, because we were an "open side", and as you say, all the dropped points at home. He did some great things but lets not kid ourselves it was perfect.

I've had enough and have felt like this for a good few weeks.

6 goals from open play

Boring boring football

£100m wasted

Today's humiliation

Think he should go now. What do you think?

i doubt very much AvB will not be given time to turn it around - at least until xmas. United game will either be the perfect game to get back on track or another nail in the coffin.

However, if we are beginning to accept that AvB is not the man for us, then I would rather see the execution done sooner rather than later personally. No point wasting time.

That's my point.

Teams that tried to shut Redknapp's Spurs out did it just as easy, but with better attacking players.
Now teams come to shut us out every week.

Thats not true. we huffed and puffed but we normally found a way eventually.

This is a whole new level of dour football. And its not even limited to teams that try and shut us out..

First off bringing back Harry is not the solution

As for AVB-

Well I didn't personally want him in the first place as I thought he was terrible at Chelsea and didn't really show any potential to suggest he'd be a success with us (I also questioned, maybe unfairly, how much of his success at Porto could be directly attributed to him)

Anyway- after last season I think he deserved the benefit of the doubt because although we were no longer playing the stylish attacking football we'd been treated to under Harry and we'd become boring and toothless in attack we were winning games and recorded a record ever points tally

That being said this season he has made us more and more difficult to watch, slow and boring with little to no creativity and without Bale's individual brilliance to win us close matches we've instead relied on luck (dodgy penalities) and a favourable fixture list to get us results and have us in what in my opinion has been a false position as we've not deserved to be as high in the league as we have been playing as poorly as we have been playing

Today, as against West Ham, we were well and truly exposed for the boring, attacking non entity, defensively naive outfit we really are (as for once Lloris was not on top of his game to paper over our cracks)

For me its very obvious that with over a full season in charge and a lot of money spent AVB has failed to take us forward and has indeed taken us backwards - he may have achieved a record points total last year but for my money that was more to do with the brilliant individual skill of a truly world class player than it was the managerial skills of AVB

Will he be sacked? I doubt he will so soon, does he deserve more time? I suppose he does yes, perhaps but the signs are very dark at the moment. He doesn't seem to know what he is doing or even what he wants to do at the moment - the players seem far from on the same wave length as him and we just don't seem to have a cohesive plan to link the team together.

I personally wouldn't question Levy's decision if AVB was shown the door tomorrow - I have had enough of watching us play slow and boring football and I am not sure how long we should be prepared to stay in a negative cycle going backwards while our rivals improve and leave us behind

Put it this way - with the general level of performances this year, had it not been for some questionable penalties given in our favour to win games and points we didn't create or finish chances to truly deserve then I have no doubt AVB would have been sacked following this match. Its only the false position we've had via a bit of luck and easy run of fixtures that will save him and give him the chance to turn it around.....the question is can he respond and take the chance or will he just continue to play boring, slow and toothless football until we are stuck in midtable with no chance of CL football and Levy's hand is forced?

Mate, please. There are an infinite number of variables that contribute to what he achieved. Obviously I appreciate what he did for our club but with our star players all leaving, I shudder to think where we would be under Harry right now. We have 0 talismen right now, while Harry had more than 1. The league was different. I'm not saying what AVB is doing is correct and he should rightly come under criticism. But bringing Harry back is pure and utter suicide.

I don't know what posts are worse.

Ones advocating the return of Harry faaacking Redknapp

or

Ones that seriously suggest Klopp could be our new manager.

Fucking amazing how we ever got fourth place .

That team wouldn't have got 4th these days, with the raise of City while Arsenal and Liverpool are both back to their best. Only difference between Jol and Redknapp for me is that the latter had more luck to edge it in the end.
Had more faith in AVB but I think he's gone into a blind alley and struggle to find his way out,
not sure we have time to wait around for him.

If we are going for Klopp i dont know why we dont chuck Guardiola into the hat. Let them fight it out for the Spurs job,

Well we didn't find a way in those games i just mentioned. and that's just a selection of bad results at home against "inferior" opposition

Really?
Didnt we lose 4-1 to this lot a HOME and they have got better.

That was some tanking job by Harry to force Levy's hand and get Parker, Modric and Kranjcar in CM.

at times it wasnt, but did he have the backing too bring in a quality striker, defender, midfielder to bolster the spine of the team?? fact is he wasnt, something i feel the likes of Modders Berba VDV was equally frustrated with.

We were never at any point as toothless or non existent as an attacking threat as we are now. Never ever.

We've scored 9 goals in 12 games. 5 Goals in open play. The stats speak for themselves.

I am just bemuse why some will feel that it will be restarting the team when a new manager comes in.. that fact right now is we had never looked started from the beginning of the season..

The team looks far from bonded except from some official tweets, training galleries and Spurs TV which all had done to great PR effect showing how harmonious the team mood is... but the match results never show it truly that's the case!

a new guy could actually be good to kick start all these mess..

You should really watch some of those games, not only were we dire but we didn't even win the possession. ;)
