Well, it'll be really long slow start unless we change the way we play. We can all understand Soldier needs to adapt to new country, new team and new gameplay. However there hasn't been even glimpses of improvement and it's the same old as it was for Ade, it's just the way we play.

But we didn't play like this last season, and he was still shit. You could say we didn't play well last season, which is fine, but we certainly didn't play like this.

Just wish he would pick his best 11, play a 4-4-1-1 and stick with it for a run of games, instead of keep changing every game! or at least play 1 instead of 2 DM's in a 4-1-3-2, the problem is width, and tempo!

Well 2 of the strikers are the very same ones who couldn't score before. Now we have one who has had a slow start. I'm not saying it is just a slow start for Soldado, there are issues with the system and finding his place in it, but to suggest that AVB is some sort of striker killer with the system he plays is just wrong.

Agree with this but we did at least create 2 good chances yesterday which Paulinho and Defoe both skied. It's still not enough but at least it's a start.

Hello Secret Non Footballer. I think we were actually really bad towards the tail end of last season. At home to Southampton, Fulham, Sunderland and away at Stoke & Wigan for example.
We were just as poor as were are now. No creativity, moving the ball slowly, really really bad. However the difference then was that we had the third best player in the world making us look good and feel excited whenever he had the ball.

The goals we not keep on coming from set plays and worldies from distance. At which point, I think a lot more people will join the AVB out brigade.

It's plainly obvious the current shape/formation/style of play isn't creating enough clear cut chances for anyone, let alone Soldado.

My biggest issue with AVB is he is too stubborn to this current formation. I'm starting to think it will end up in him getting the sack.

I think you're both missing the point. It's nothing to do with people having different opinions or wanting AVB out. Slate AVB in private till the cows come home for all I care, just get behind the team and give them your full backing during games.

This isn't a general swipe at people who want AVB out, this is aimed at the growing section of fans within our club who feel it's okay to publicly boo our team off at half time, boo substitutions, give up on the team with 30 mins of a game left etc.

This negative atmosphere surrounding the club largely starts with our own supporters which the media then latch on to. The whole thing creates a negative spiral and does no one with Spurs best interests at heart any favours.

I suspected it might have been the case before, but now I'm absolutely certian. Adebayor didn't go from being out top scorer to being useless because he lost interest. He did because AVB is really bad at getting the best out of strikers, unless they're Falcao.
