Xavi got the most individual votes so it would have been pretty hard for Modric to take his place.

He'll get there one day though.

Would have had RVP up front too and no Robben.

Still, nice to have the only PL player.

Are you telling me you don't think playing a team with 4 wingers/wide forwards (Bale, Messi, Ronaldo and Robben) in it, is not an ideal situation?

Are you not a believer of playing 4-1-5 then!?

I reckon Stoke could have a decent go at beating that team.

Whilst Bale hasn't even been the best player in our midfield in 2011, to me this just shows how much Spurs are getting noticed now. Look at that team, Madrid, Barca, Milan and Munich are all European giants, not just big clubs, but historically the best clubs - and us making up the numbers here speaks volumes.

The world is watching.

How many in here voted for him? I know I did, also voted for Modric although he was up against Xavi I think.

Bale did very well to get in. He's becoming a household name for so many to vote on him.

Would've liked to see RVP there, but the other forwards stand no chance against C. Ronaldo and Messi in terms of popularity.
