Anyone know what happened to GB last night?

Saw a photo of him on the Wales bench with an ice pack on his knee.

He didnt looked pissed off but its not something we need right now.

He should be fine but if not we can always play Modric at LW instead

Anyone else flick over at half time of the England game to watch Wales?

Bale done this run (just before england was about to kick of 2nd half) and aint kidding he literally beat the entire swedish team on his own. Was a run that started from the edge of the own area and just went straight through the middle of the pitch! actually the nuts - kid is amazing.

if anyone knows were could find a video of it - brilliant to watch!!!!

He was probably only able to do that because, Modric, playing LW for Wales, was dragging the entire Swedish team out of position  :)

 :shhh: :shake:

p.s. From 'Arry Rotknopf interview in this months 'Hotspur' magazine.
Question about BAE and Ba;e and playing Bale on the wing, 'Arry's answer is:
"Yes, it's a massive dilemma, two great left-backs, but that's a smashing dilemma to have! Gareth has done brilliantly but Benoit is also a top, top player. Gareth is great coming on to the ball from left-back and it's a different position, wide left. It's a possibility but we've Luka Modric and Niko Krankjar in that position." (the highlighting is mine - just the pertinent bits, for you:wink:).

Hope that clarifies thangs in your mind for you:grin:

p.s. I have also read a quote about 'Arry being very big on playing players in their preferred positions (can't find it just now).

I don't know who started it, may have been 'Arry, or Jamie or maybe even Paul Merson, but if a player is now good they are a top, top player. Does it really need the extra 'top' to emphasise the point?

Phew. It would have been just his and our luck if his fine form was disrupted by a niggly injury.

I just hope he scores a goal like he did a few seasons back at Craven Cottage, I'm glad we have that player back now, just a bit tougher and more experienced.

If anyone does find that run that Bale made for Wales please post it, would be nice to see in preparation for Fulham tomorrow.

I wonder how much Gareth's value has gone up in the last few months. In a way I'm extremely gutted for the lad that he had to sit out the best part of one and a half seasons due to injury, however I'm absolutely overjoyed for him that he's finally showing that he could easily reach his hyped-up potential, and at such a young age. I for one hope we don't accept any silly offers from the "bigger boys" from him, and he stays with us through his peak. He could be an extremely influencial player for us in the next few seasons.

I love the way he just gets on with things, he's certainly a confidence player, so fair play to him for his effort this season when he looked like one of the 'forgotten players' in the squad.
