Read Real are offering an assortment of players for him.

Anyone else fancy Higuain, Contreao, Di Maria and a few quid ( £25m ) for the Welsh wonder? Lets see how serious these bastards are!

Express are saying Bale's agent is in Spain talking to Madrid so that's more bollocks (or more blatant tapping up). :banghead:

Carlo Ancelotti has begun work as Madrid's new manager, and is thought to be prioritising a summer move for Spurs flyer Bale.

Despite Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas' continued insistence that the 23-year-old will not be allowed to leave, Madrid are set to press again for Bale's signature.

Reports in Spain suggest that Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett has been in Madrid this week, having previously declared his client's interest in joining the La Liga giants.

Barnett is said to have told Madrid chiefs that Bale is 'delighted' at the prospect of signing for the Spanish club, and even showed general manager Jose Angel Sanchez a picture of a young Bale wearing a Real shirt.

Tottenham could be tempted to accept a players-plus-cash deal if they were to allow Bale to move to the Spanish capital, with Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain, Fabio Coentrao and Angel Di Mario all mooted as potential makeweights in the deal.

Bale is set to have the last word over the transfer saga of the summer though, with the former Southampton prodigy yet to declare his decision.

Brilliant stuff there, love the part about the Baby picture

Headline:

Bale drops hint he's ready to leave Spurs for Champions League (and forget winning the trophy, it's the MUSIC that attracts him)

Typical Daily Fail - Gareth gives an interviewing saying it is enjoyable playing in CL and he likes the music and they translate that into 'Bale wants to leave Spurs'.
Even funnier is the latest pseudo-ITK is true and GB has already signed a new contract.

I am beginning to think the Daily Mail would love nothing more than for Bale to leave Tottenham, how disappointing for them

Of course they do, it sells newspapers... no one wants to read Bale stays put (except us).
Plus I really believe there is a media agenda whereby the top players are only allowed to play for 4 or 5 teams worldwide and if not then they get uppity!

Tottenham star Gareth Bale drops exit hint

GARETH BALE has hinted that he could be ready to leave Tottenham this summer - by professing a desire to play in the Champions League and try his hand at Spanish football.

Gareth Bale hints at Spurs exit by revealing Champions League desire

Here are some of the quotes from an interview he has done with Esquire

"When you play in the Premier League, say you’re playing against a lower-end team, they set up to defend all the time, they set up to block you off," Bale told Men's magazine Esquire.

"But when you play in the Champions League, all the other teams are used to winning every week, so it’s more of an open game, it’s more attacking, end-to-end. No one’s used to defending, everyone’s used to attacking and trying to win games, so it’s just all against all.

"The music is a massive thing. Zadok the Priest [Handel’s anthem that announces the arrival of the teams]. When we first got into the Champions League, it’s one of the things that most of the lads were looking forward to, hearing it in the stadium. It’s little things like that which make it special."

While he may find it frustrating to face opponents who are focused on defending, Bale still managed to score 26 goals in all competitions.
He said: "I don't feel any pressure. If I'm scoring all the goals and winning us the games, then I just carry on as normal."

Bale also explained his admiration for football in Spain, and left no doubt that he wants to leave the Premier League to taste La Liga action at some point in his career.

"I probably prefer Spanish football to the others," he added. "It’s very technical the way they play, they keep the ball well and whenever Spurs have played against Spanish teams in the past they’ve always made it difficult for us. So I’d say that Spanish football is probably the best I’ve seen.

"Obviously, I’d like to try other leagues in the future. Every player would like to get as high as they can and try different things. It’s something that the future holds and it’s something that I’m very interested to try in the least."

I have said this before...and been accused of being a delusional conspiracy theorist :)
Of course, stirring the pot does help to attract readers, so I am sure that is part of it - but perpetuating a round-robin of four or five Uber-powerful teams with all of the best players (like the Harlem Globetrotters effect) with all of the World's greatest players seems to be a fixation for the media. Hardly any of them ever make an article suggesting it might just possibly be good for football allowing clubs to build squads to compete, even if the natural consequence of that was less of a concentration of the World's best players in a small number of clubs

His agent is the same one that was Ashley Coles agent when he moved from Arsenal to Chelsea isn't he?

His agent clearly wants his commission for getting bale a move. He's practically begging real to make an offer.

Real Madrid has decided to put the Gareth Bale signing on hold. After receiving yet another "no" from Tottenham Hotspur, Florentino Pérez and his team have decided to call it a day, and now see the signing of Bale this summer as impossible. Daniel Levy, the English club's president, is not open to negotiation, and faced with such inflexibility, reaching any sort of agreement is not viable.

Gareth Bale is not Luka Modric. The Welshman has done nothing to force a negotiation and help get Real's foot in the door. He seems resigned to the idea of playing out another year with Spurs, although his first intention was to tell his president that his wish was to play for Real Madrid.

He is content to stay for another year in England, despite the fact that his club will not be taking part in the Champions League. He says that he's very thankful to Tottenham and that he's happy where he is. Modric, on the other hand, handled his situation quite differently, which ended up working wonders for Real Madrid's efforts to sign him.

Bale has no release clause, will not be making a transfer request, and considers that, being only 23, he has time enough to make the jump into the big time. And when that happens, he wants it to be with 'Los Blancos'.

Word on the English streets is that the flying Welshman won't be going anywhere without a previous payment of £100 million, and that is a tall order even for the likes of the mighty Real Madrid.

Wouldn't he make a hell of a lot more off of a £80 +m transfer than a contract extension

I thought the agents got a set fee whether the players signs a new contract with the same club or a new one?

But the fee obviously differs where some clubs pay more then others so I guess RM would pay alot more...

Or maybe I am just wrong...
