Ozil is a good player and always gives 100% for the team

I guess Modric may come on soon especially as Barca have just gone ahead

I know Ozil is a great player, but this season he's just not looked up to his usual standard for me. I only saw Modric's first league game I think it was and he was very decent, linked everything up.

Fantasy Football in Spain must be pretty dull. Every team has to have Messi and Ronaldo, otherwise they're screwed.

So that is 169 goals in his last 155 games for Barcelona now for Lionel Messi, while Cristiano Ronaldo has hit 160 in 155 for Madrid. Rewriting the rules.

A summer of BS and 40 million and he can't even get on the field in a must win game for RM.

I used to despise Ronaldo but I have little but admiration for him these days.

The two need not be mutually exclusive. I hardly despise Ronaldo, but I don't exactly like him very much. I've plenty of admiration for him though and can't see why anyone wouldn't. He's the second best footballer currently on the planet without question. One of the best of all time too. Were it not for Messi people would have him in the debate with Pele and Maradona for best of all time (not quite up there imo but in the debate at least). Instead people don't consider him in that respect because there's a tiny little bloke about 300 miles away, competing in the present day, who's two years younger and just so happens to be way better. Must annoy the fuck out of Cristiano lol

Outside of Messi he's the best player in the world and were you to draw up a shortlist of the best players in history h'd be on it, why on earth not have admiration for him?

Maybe it was just tougher for me to stomach him in a Utd jersey.

I let his vanity get in the way, didn't I?
