I sort of expected to be negged for saying this, you know. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who thinks he shat on us over the last couple of summers.

Absolute joy to watch. Skills levels all over the pitch were breathtaking
and you don't often say that about English football even at the very top level.
I assume that Modric was being protected from the stuff that often erupts
in these games. Played people that were used to it.
In the event it was mainly superb football which he would have enjoyed.
Probably didn't want Barcelona to see Modric in action against them
or they would have had to sign him.
We got good money for him and he gave us four years of top class football.
I wish him well.
