I've never seen a team I support win a penalty shoot-out.

Next time I'll just turn the TV off and expect us to go out just to save all the heartache.

100 grand a week for a forward that cannot hit the target from 12 yards dress it up anyway you like are highest paid player certainly isnt the best player in the team. Good effort from the lads but im seething that we are left with just ade as our goal scoring threat.

I was the first to say that was an obvious red card, but on that angle, Verts actually gets a tiny touch on the ball.

Is there any limit to the amount of ball you need to get to actually be considered to have got the ball?

To the people saying our season is over, I remember people saying the exact same thing after we lost in a semi final at Wembley to Portsmouth.

Go outside and take a deep breath, still something to play for this season.
Really.... Arsenal have a game in hand and seem to have found a rhythm.

We are stuttering and our best players are injured.

We have had a great season considering, but we are fucked now. Mainly because Levy has fucked us once again in the transfer windows.

Can we cut out any abuse, yes we are all dissapointed, but it might be an idea to go have a smoke/coffee/something stronger/wank and then come back.

Will re open this in a min

Its not that I can't do all of those things at the same time, it just makes typing a bit dangerous. Bloody spoilsport...;)

We don't half choke on the big moments.

In recent years we have had two fa cup semis a final against utd plus lasagne day and now tonight we arr back the spurs I know sloppy, nervy and finally legends.
Lets hope we can get back into this competition next season as we ain't getting top four that's for sure conceding 2 goals a game and a manager who has lost his way with his team which is a shame as I was starting to believe him but not now.
We have been utter shit for over a month now and he has no answers to anything but let's go for fifth and that will have to do.

meh. not surprised about the pen result. Game ended when Vertonghen was sent off.

10 days rest. the whole squad back in contention apart from Sandro. 7 games to make the season end on a sweet note.

gutted but we still have something to play for

forget about the EL. I am more worried about our style of playing and how to handle the game. Last year with Harry did we play the most pacey and funny fotball in the EPL. This year it have been 90% sideways.. I am not happy but i rather become 4th than play a final in Europa Leauge. And i want to find back to that fantastic fotball we have been played with pace and feelings. Now there is no movment, And when the only one that can find a offensive pass that challenge ïs Carrol i start to get worried... Want my old Spurs back.... Not how it is now ploding around and play 90% passes sideways.. COYS!!!!!!

Friedel might have had more chance of getting to their penalties if he started diving from his wheelchair.
From a standing start he was never going to get down in time.:)

I doubt Lloris would have saved at least two of those penalties. Don't let that get in the way of your Brad-hate, though.

Gutting as usual. What is with penalties recently?! Maybe it's because we never get bloody awarded them in normal time?

Hard to knock anyone tonight. 10 men, tough pithc, hostile crowd, decent opposition. Not sure what people were expecting? That we should just turn up and blow them away?! A bit of realism wouldnt go amiss.

Like what I saw from Carroll. Dawson put it all in, as did Holtby, Siggy and Walker. Even Hudd put it about when he came on.

Proud of the boys tonight.
