Do any of our Bulgarian speaking members know if the 'quotes' from his brother and father about him wanting to leave appeared in the bulgarian articles or did the article get 'incorrectly translated' by the english newspapers?
Those quoting berbatovs body language as evidence he doesn't want to stick around, he's been like that from day one and I don't think it show he doesn't care, it's just the way he is.
Suggesting he will definitely be off in january is also just pure speculation. He may do but some people have been saying it as if it's a done deal. I guess rumours like this come with quality players, Henry was linked to other clubs every summer but it was years until he left arsenal.
I would also like to say i'm surprised that so many jumped on berbatovs back so quickly but when you consider virtually everyone in our squad has had considerable stick at times, it's not that much of a shock that it happened eventually.

Just why? He scored a goal last week and Berbs didnt? Berbatov is much better than Bent and you know it. It's amazing how a few weeks ago you were probably saying how Bent was a waste of 16 mil. Berbs is off form, lay off him and we'll soon have the old Berbatov we know and love back. :wink:

I'm always amused - and not a littled annoyed - when I read a hack in the gutter press write that: "So-and-so (e.g. Berbatov)... has been linked with a move to... so-and-so (e.g. Man U)."
So who did the "linking" in the first place? Yes, that's right, the lazy hack or one of his fellow, lazy hacks from the gutter press.

I believe Berbatov is saying what he feels at the moment and hopefully he now will pull his finger out and help Robbie up front a bit more.

Just because the report says his Dad said it doesn't mean it's true, the fact is people have wised up to reports quoting agents or blokes down the pub so they have come up with his dad, if his dad says it then it must be true but why believe that his dad said it at all?

Bulgarian media quoted these statments from the english newspspers, saying Berbatov Snr spoke to them, and also "some friends of him also claimed he's unhappy" so his father didn's speak to bulgarian press. A bulgarian radio interviewed his mother, who said it's all bullshit, she said also his father didn't speak to no media at all (oh what a soap opera came out).

So it seems we have changed our stance on commenting on media speculation. First Bent, now Berbatov, my bet is the press will now move onto Defoe, who will be off to Villa.
What does everyone think about this new policy?
Will it stop the press linking all of our players with other clubs? Or will it mean that the official site will become unreliable because we will just deny every story thrown our way, whether it be true or false.
