how good was he today? if he plays like that again i can see all the CL teams lining up to take him

Managers aren't as stupid as some fans who think a given player is as good as his last game. Everybody who knows a little bit about football knows Berbatov is good enough to walk in almost every team on the planet. The very fact I should mention it reveals something.

Oh, Lippi failed at Inter. I have had no explanation why he failed there. Now, I already know: he let Keane go. Thank you, Snake :beer:BTW, Ronaldo was injured when Keane was there. It won't harm if you don't lie or display ignorance.

Keane is a very good player but I doubt there is a better team than Spurs where he can be a regular starter. I may be wrong, of course. Maybe at Liverpool he could be a success. The fact remains no CL club enquired about him. After that season things can change, who knows.

Please show me where I have lied or displayed ignorance.

If I remember correctly, Keane left Inter to join Leeds in the January transfer window. I don't believe Ronaldo was injured then, hence Lippi's regret for letting him go.

i do know this also, i just thought you would come and reply to it

still he had a shocking game, and some of the things you have said in here are bang out of line, and some of our other players (yes the other ones bar berbatov) do get linked to CL teams and some have played CL football with good teams

Read about Ronaldo's injuries.

The team had a shocking game. Berbatov got too frustrated to be capable to produce something.

"great when fit" - says it all really

It completely depends on what you mean by "great". I would just say he's the best central defender in the world, or at least one of the few best in the world. Not just "great".

There is no point to play for fans who cannot appreciate you, isn't there? Obviously you are one of those many fans who constantly moan about his "laziness" instead of being grateful that he is patient enough to play with all these from average to poor players around him. I hope you are not representative of Spurs fans as I know there are a lot of fans who know what Berbatov contributes to THFC.

Berbati, I wish you'd also see that Spurs the club, and Berbatov's Spurs teammates have given him alot, boosted his career and raised his profile to the point where CL teams are beating a path to his door. He played for Bayer for 5.5 seasons beforehand, won nothing, and I believe it wasn't until Martin Jol showed an interest in him that he thought of the possibility of playing in England. According to Berba himself, out of loyalty to us he rejected Fergie's late offer at the last minute.

It's sad that you should portray him as anything other than thankful for the support THFC fans give him at all times. Berba himself has commented on this many times, whether winning or losing, Spurs fans always support him, and he appreciates it. Please don't act like his unofficial forum spokesperson, and assume you are speaking for him. I don't know who you are, but I suspect just a fan, like the rest of us, and some of the things you have posted on this, a Spurs Supporter's forum, are very unsporting to our club.

I hope that Berbatov, whether he leaves us or stays next season, does not get tarnished with this kind of superior, negative, critical attitude that you have displayed.
I'm well aware you won't be happy till he leaves Spurs, but whilst he still plays for our club, please have some respect.
Why not do what I do, which is to ignore the most negative comments about Berba, as I am a fan too, rather than being antagonistic. It doesn't reflect well on either yourself or Berba by association.

I find everything so ridiculous. Berbati is trying to persuade Spurs fans that their team is shit and that "God" is playing for them and they don't deserve it. Why are you sayng this? Do you feel happier or more pleased with life? You don't do anything but ruing the image of Berbatov. They all know your position and you don't have to repeat it every day, all day! God! If I hadn't known Berbatov for 10 years i would have started hating him because of you. Спри се по дяволите!

Well said Gabi, I see you have a joint Latin/Cyrillic keyboard.

Thanks for the link, I shall be joining that forum too, and if I can't understand what's written, I can look at the pics!

BTW I see the Berba.net website is linked, but this forum is different to the Bulgarian language one on there. :)

I agree that Spurs are the best team that Keane could get into, but why are you so condescending with regards to Berbatov and Spurs? Berbatov has been lazy, disinterested for the last 4 games and his miss against Chelsea made me sick. That was an easy chance and he fucked it up proper. What are your views on his miss, Berbatit?

Just to give my wooden spoon a little exercise, I'd like to point out that we achieved our best points finish in years with a weaker—on paper, at least—team and no Berbatov. And to take up GL's post, Berbatov's finishing from open play has not been as clinical as one might wish.

Great player? Yes. Capable of turning a game with a moment of magic? Undoubtedly. Fallible? Most certainly.

I'm a massive Berbatov fan, but have to say he was terrible today - although so were most of our players today -

I still think he's our best player though, better than King for sure - he's injured/not fit way too much to be considered anywhere near our best player

What a brilliant post, it completely sums up what Spurs fans think of Berbati!

I completely agree, he does miss too many chances, and this is true of his international performances aswell having read up on it last night on the Bulgarian Standart site.
