for Bulgarian journos yesterday: I'm going to translate the most interesting points. Bulgarian mates could correct my translation, if necessary.

J: Is there a problem between your agent and Ramos?
B: No, I don't think there is any problem. Maybe Ramos is a little bit unhappy with all these speculations as he wants to keep me at WHL. In several weeks the transfer window opens and there will be a lot of rumours about my future. To be honest, I'm not unhappy with this as it shows that I'm doing my job well. By the end of the summer it will be clear what has happened (i.e. where B. is going to play next season).
J: Would you comment on Milan's interest?
B: No, that's my agent's job.
J: Still, what do you think about Milan?
B: Well, Milan is Milan. It's one thing to play for them, it's quite another thing to play against them. Future will tell.

Every time I read these Bulgarian media info regarding Berba it seems to me like if they assume something which is unknown to us regarding him/his present at the club/his intentions.

To put it in straight English, they seem much more straight forward people and it's evident for them that Berbatov wants out of the club for a bigger one at the end of the season, and basically just have a good laugh about English political correction regarding transfer availability. And his agent follows this trend with his not so very diplomatic comments.

:-? huh? I agree that Berbs is generally honest and candid but I don't get how you can interpret his remarks as him being so desperate to leave

well, basically this is what the footballing part of the nation assumes is logical - rightly or not spurs are regarded as 2nd class club, they do not have too many supporters & most people crave seeing berba realize his potential. for most people seasons like the last two are regarded as loss of time and effort.

Are you a Man U fan or Sky employee obsessed with the big four?
Berbs does not say anything controversial at all. Its nice that people want to sign him because it shows he is playing well.
Plus Milan are Milan- so what? Is he expected to say "every other club except Spurs are inferior and I would never want to play for them"?

Never from the man himself, of course, but from all the comments coming from the Bulgarian press material translated in this forum, specially since the beginning of his transfer saga to Man Utd. And from his bloody agent as well, every time that man opens his mouth he rather wants him out of the club than signing a new contract with us. And Mr. Berbatov senior had some quite polemic declarations a while ago aimed in the same direction. We were lucky that Mrs. Berba seems to be more of a Lillywhite...

I understand that agents are meant to do this kind of things because they want the best (deals) for their players, but this man has absolutely no discretion and no concern about unsettling Berbatov and affecting his current form. It could end up as another Defoe.

berbatov's agent is employed by berbatov. if he was going against his employers wishes he would be sacked. end of. berba wants out and to be honest he is not worth anywhere near 30m. what in the world would david villa be worth at those prices??? i'm fed up with him at the minute! if he wants to go then let him Fking leave. get someone in who wants to play for us!

Well we will all know by the start of next season won't we, if Berby does want to go I don't see Ramos stopping him, if he stays then great but if he goes well at least we will have £30 million to spend on a replacement.

Ramos has the knack of making a 5 million pound player playing like a 15 million man. So if we sell Berbs at 30 million plus, we can have 3 10 million players whom Ramos can turn into better ones. This could lead the way to a charge up the EPL table.

Of course, would rather Berbs to stay as he's shown his worth already.

ramos n comoli have probably drummed into berbatovs head that the next step for spurs is the champions league.

i hope berba is offered top wages and i also hope he realises that if he leaves he will set us back another 5 years..

it's up to him, does he want to be a hero, does he want to be a legend??

He is hardly saying 'I will be here 100% next season' though is he??

Why the fuck would he say that? He doesn't know what offers will be made. And lets face it, we will sell if the price is right.

I hope that as soon as the season is over, we invite bids for Berbatov. The last thing we need is another 'will he, won't he' saga throughout the summer.

Either he signs a new contract or we sell him ASAP. Ramos doesn't need the uncertainy hanging over the club all summer. We need to learn from the experience we had with Carrick.

GET RID!!!

I think he will still be a spurs player next season... BUT if we dont get into the champion's league next season he will be gone and to be honest I wouldnt really blame him.

i was hardly interested in the premiership before berbatov came to spurs. i never had a favourite too. wherever he goes i will be supporting spurs for the rest of my life and that is beyond doubt. i just wanted to clarify what is the impartial reality about berbs in his own country. that's all

btw i doubt he will be going to mancity even for 32 million - it would just be a step backward for him. he would only go to another club to compete for tropheys.
