Selling Caulker and keeping Dawson.

Letting Ekotto go for nothing, forcing Verts out left and leaving us with Dawson and a crock in Kaboul in defence.

Yeah Caulker's gonna be a world beater...

(sarcasm)

Good signs from Lamela though, he actually passed the ball forward first time into players feet a few times

(not sarcasm)

Ah, knew we were missing something.....and here it is.

Team plays shit and it's all Dawsons fault. Regardless how pathetic the rest looked.

its not just this game though, dawson has been a bad fit for our side this whole season and probably been culpable in a good majority of our goals conceded this season.

Eriksen and Lamela I have high hopes for. I see glimpses of what Paulinho can do.

I'm trying to think of many positives as possible. Not only do we have to gel more, but all these players we've signed are playing in a new league too.

Dawson was pathetic today, I remember when Negredo missed a header and they showed the replay and Dawson had no idea where the ball was or what to do, he was just flailing around.

Crap.

See, here it is - this is what i'm talking about in the match thread - this tendancy to blame one player when every player out there has been off their game for several weeks. The midfield has sucked hard for a few games, our passing and coverage has been woeful, leaving our defence far, far too open, Lloris today gave the ball away twice leading to goals, yet this is somehow Dawsons fault.

Easy target, this "carthorse" bullshit - he has been a warrior for us and has been captain for what has been, up until this game, one of the tightest defences in the league, yet he's the donkey. We play without a proper left back, we play with defensive midfielders who mostly don't appear to defend or distribute with any confidence, we have no connection between our midfield and our striker/s...

What i see is a midfield that is nothing more than a lucky dip. No communication, no urgency and very little familiarity amongst them, and who apparently can't link up with either our defence or our attack.

And yet this is Dawsons fault. Curious.

We've signed top players in Soldado and Lamela. We have a manger who hasn't a clue how to use them. Harry at least recognised how to use players.
