Interested to know people's thoughts on who has been our best player in the later half of the season (2008 only).

January signings of Woodgate and Hutton have been excellent.
Steed has performed consistently all season and worked hard, especially on his defensive game.
Robbie kept banging them in.

My personal vote goes to Woodgate - hasn't missed many games and scored the winner at Wembley, but Hutton pushed him hard for top spot.

What are your views?

Hutton. He's been the best buy so far.

Woody has been good too. I didn't want him but he's proved me wrong so  to Woody.

Woodgate or Hutton.

Wouldn't like to call between them, but noone else is even close for me.

Keane for me. Woddy has been superb, and Hutton looks a great signing, and I think Steed has had a great season, despite what that muppet Phil big nose thompson might say, but Keane's goals and effort have been top notch.

Woody for me, only the Toon game where he looked average and he shouldn't have played due to fitness. What a great signing.

Woodgate - Hutton - Berabtov

its too close between Woodgate and Hutton, both top players and have performed great since they have arived, the goal in the final just puts woodgate ahead of Hutton though

Jonathon Woodgate has been pure class since he came to Spurs! If we could get another 5 or 6 as good as him - we would be some team!

lol @ people voting for Berbatov - wtf???

I thinks Berba has done well, but does anyone really believe we'd have won the CC without Woodgate? He totally marked Drogba out of the game and scored the winning goal! Okay he didn't help us get there, but lets face it, we had a much stronger side than Arsenal. Against Chelsea we were the under dogs and Woodgate made the difference. Without the CC win our season would have been a total disaster. Also, how many set peices have we conceded since Woody came? How many times at corners does he clear it? People are complaining about our league form as it is, imagine what it would have been there without Woodgate organising things at the back!

Hutton think he is an excellant signing and can see why the club made such an effort to sign him!
