When I was a kid I had a Klinsmann 18 shirt, it practically didn't leave my back. When I scored goals in the playground I risked life and limb doing the Klinsmann celebration.

Then it was Ginola, I wore the no14 for my club side. He was the perfect player when I was younger, then I couldn't give a fuck about stats, and end product, and pass completion and work rate and stuff like that. He was just me the kid on the pitch, going to WHL was worthwhile just to watch him play - deep down I think I would have a different view of the guy the way I watch the game these days, but then, he was magic.

Then it was Keano I guess, I had a lot of love for that little fella despite how it all ended, then along came Berbatov and they both struck that glorious partnership, and that embrace at Wembley still gets me.

In this current side, Modric and VDV, and of course the King.

I can't name my 'best', because they all came at different stages of my life and where Tottenham were when they were playing for us, but ultimately as a wide eyed idealistic kid I think Ginola gave me the greatest joy.

Gazza lighting up Saints at the Dell, Keano and King at WHL.... (I always liked Poyet, so special mention at WHL)

I'm 30. Football only really look over my life when the premiere league started and all the coverage that came with it. For me Ginola and Klinsmann have been the outstanding candidates. Berbatov and King probably close 2nd. Plenty of others had their moment but those 3 attacking players were simply superb. King, when played. A world class centre half.

Not long enough part of it but what I have seen:

1. Modric
2. Bale vs. Inter Milan and some other games
3. Sandro....so much talent and some really awesome games in my eyes. maybe too much Sandro love ;)

I just missed out on Hoddle but it seems from what most of you are saying that he was something else. I think in terms of the most popular players, Klinsmann,King,VDV,Ginola those who really love spurs and are class too are brilliant but in terms of talent I really think Berbatov especially in terms of the strikers we have had, for the years he was with us was unreal, not sure I'll see a better striker than him at the Lane for a long time. Ade is great but not in the same league in terms of skill, touch, finishing everything, a bit like Gilzean I think from the bits of old spurs vids I've seen.

Klinsmann was the first and only name I ever had on the back of one of my shirts (the away shirt), I could have murdered my girlfriend when she put my home shirt he signed (after my friends dad sneak my and my friend out of school to go to a signing in Oxford street) in the wash.....needless to say she is no longer my gf

Ouch, I lost my purple Klinsmann 18 shirt too, and the goalie kit for that season that Ian Walker wore - that horrible multi coloured atrocity, which was probably a good thing.

Unfortunately the majority of current Spurs fans did not see Dave Mackay play and that's a sad fact. Mackay still the best player I have ever seen live let alone best Spurs player. No-one else comes near. Hoddle for example would not have got a look in if he played against Mackay. A truly remarkable and unique player,

Gazza was the best player I ever saw. A true football superstar.

Klinsmann, Lineker and Ginola were brilliant.

Mabbutt edges Ledley out of my top 5.

The Infamous Watford moment:

If he was wearing a Utd shirt while doing that they'd replay it constantly on sky like they do George Best and Cantona clips

This one he ran the length of the pitch nearly and finished with amazing class

this one too has a bit of the Van Basten's about it

Ok not quite Van Basten but still amazing (my favourite goal of all time......)
