We would get beat with that team. Too many unfit players. And Sanchez on the left? ?

I could see Deki and Richarlison on the bench for this one to get some minutes - but I don't know that Conte would risk either from the start. Deki needs to be fit for Leeds, and Richarlison will not want to jeopardize his WC.

Don't play any of the XI who started yesterday and don't risk Kulusevski. I don't give a crap about the tournament this year, January will be so hellish for the squad if we progress I honestly don't feel it's worth it.

Forster
Sanchez-Tanganga-?
Spence-Skipp-Sarr-White-Doherty
Lucas-Gil

Have no idea who'd fill at LCB but just pick an U21. Whoever.

If Spence doesn't get at least 45 minutes against opposition who he will know very well in the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup he won't get any game time with us for the rest of the season bar the odd 5 minute cameo here and there.

Fwiw I reckon Conte will give him at least 45 mins, possibly an hour.
I also think Forest will rotate because their priority will be avoiding relegation and fielding their strongest possible side for the league game at the weekend. I've just seen their fixture and IMHO Forest will be prioritising their home league game against Palace at the weekend all day long. They will be keen on trying to make ground on Wolves and Southampton who have games against Arsenal and Liverpool.

Would be very surprised if Spence featured in this match. He's clearly third choice RB (maybe even 4th choice behind Lucas). Why would he suddenly start ahead of these? Doc looks nailed on here. Sadly.

Considering we’ve got a must win game against a seriously energetic and in form Leeds side at the weekend, resting as many of the 1st XI is imperative. The only threw I would play are Lenglet, Sessegnon and Kane and that’s simply due to not having any other strikers.

————————— Forster ————————
—— Tanganga — Sanchez — Lenglet ——
Spence —— Skipp ———Sarr —— Sessegnon
————— Moura — Kane — Gil ——————

Austin, Dier, Doherty, Perisic, Bissouma, White, Devine, Kulusevski, Lankshear

Emerson had a shocker against Liverpool, Doherty is probably earmarked to come in for him against Leeds in which case Conte I suspect will want him to be fresh and raring to go. Solution, play Spence against Forest

One of the reasons I think this is more important than perhaps others - Round 4 will be right after the WC final. For a lot of our players who are not going to the WC, it would be the first competitive match in 6 weeks. For some who won't make it past the group stage - first match in 4 weeks. In other words, it is the ideal tune-up for the squad before the league starts back up.

It would be nice to get some match minutes for a lot of players after the long lay-off.
