Just saw Poch interviewed. Apparently he picked a squad to win the game. Seriously? He is clearly lying, has totally lost the plot or has been tapped up for bigger and better things like our last greatest ever manager mr harry redschnapps.

Crikey, don't suppose you think that was a bit over-intellectual? We lost a match to a better team.

I know plenty of my pals that went there today to support their team, they took a couple of days off work and probably spent something in the region of £500 upwards for the privilege of seeing a mish-mash of a cobbled together team that struggled immediately from kick off.

These men also went to to all the European games since the early 1970's to cheer their team. I have been to W.Germany a couple of times to see my team and all over the UK.

Pride in the badge, a daft notion but even going to WHL and seeing a team like tonight's struggling lot would be a good case for a claim to be putting to the Trade Discriptions Act. Paying mega bucks for a mediocre show.

You wouldn't pay for a big band concert ticket to find out that a couple of the band members were being rested so a couple of session players would stand in.

It might not be fraud but it is morally wrong.

There are times and occasions .. Tonight was one to try and make a go of it go down with a bit of pride eh ?

Hugo is our captain and on £80k a week apparently ..He pulled off a couple of world class saves early doors, what was the point of it all. Might as well have put in Vorm for what it was worth.

Just my opinion.

deja vu.
last season embarrassed by Fiorentina then bottled a cup final.
This season bottled West Ham, Ten man Scum & smashed to shit by Dortmund & all due to bad squad management and poor team choices.
We are looking very Spursy at the business end of the season.

You'd probably forgive the omission of a couple of band members if it increased the chances of them headlining Glastonbury.

My opinion is that you are wrong and I am right. It's just the way of the world, so just accept it.

I really hope he doesn't actually believe that.

I know some ppl dont like it but by picking that line up for tonight, we have given our chances of winning the league a massive boost!
He more or less threw the game.

And something had to give. Everyone can see some key players are jaded and need to be rested.

We need to make CL, it's much more significant to our future.

No way we could have committed what was required to beat Dortmund over the two legs - we need those resources for the league.

With our line-up, I'd say they underachieved.

Don't see any reason to celebrate tactical intelligence when we handed the tie to them in order to focus on more important concerns.
Disagree. I completely admire the way he approached the game, tactically. I don't think they'd have had the level of control they did if they'd have matched our shape.

They'd have likely still won, but not with that level of dominance.

Disappointed to have been thrashed, but I'd suggest given the way Dortmund played we'd have lost even with our "first XI" although I'd have been surprised if it ended 3-0. We have given ourselves virtually no chance of qualifying barring an almighty performance next week.

I sympathise with fans who have a right to complain about the team selection- I'm heading to the home leg and worry now that there's very little in it for us.

However, Pochettino is the man who has to make difficult choices every game and he made his choice today. We have to accept that. Given how far he's brought us without the need for an eleven man overhaul as has been the case with previous managers, we have to accept that his gamble won't always pay off. We aren't likely to win the league this term but we're still in with a great shout and if, just if we somehow pull off something incredible, very few here will remember this game.

Tough loss to take. A 2-0 left us with a glimmer of hope but it's fairly certain we'll be knocked out. Nonetheless, finishing in the top 4 will give us such massive pull in the transfer market that hopefully next term we can watch us smash the likes of PSG, Real and Bayern rather than sing offs against Hobbitton FC.
