enough pace for sure so we're not as susceptible to the break. but still susceptible on the far post. we tend to drift too much to the center of the pitch.
Meh - always looking for problems!

We got beat far post in the preseason with Porro, twice, and Davies once. Royal and VdV will help there also!

That's one of the things to like about Ange - he has a style he wants to play. And he will select the players he thinks can fit that style, and they can grow and learn along the way.

Bumpy roads ahead - but I like where we are headed.

No sane manager gets rid of ultra reliable spear carriers which is why no Spurs manager has even considered moving Davies on.

Perfect squad player. Odd that you can't see that imo
A manager does and will if he has other players that are better so no need for a below par squad player until now we’ve not had the overall squad to move Davies on, I’m hoping that by the end of the window we will.

Odd that you can’t see that 😉

Different team and differing tactics now. Let’s hope we’ve knocked most of the obvious weak points on the head.

And played in every game as England won the U21 European Championship

My worry is that there isn't any strikers on the bench, not even Scarlett.
Son can move centrally, Kulu can too. It’s fine id rather have 3 offensive more established talents than Scarlett who struggled in league 1

Stupidly decided to turn over to the build up on Sky Sports and it's about Chelsea. Fuck off.

while i agree with you 99% of the time, this ain't one of them. Davies is perfectly fine against teams that are less direct and the wingers can't operate at warp speed. it's speed that he struggles to handle.
Fair mate totally entitled to your opinion and I completely get that perspective.

I think most teams in the PL play with a lot of pace these days so Davies is redundant if possible.

He is a better defender than Reggie but in the high line Davies her gets so exposed like he did against Brentford end of last season.

But sure if we don’t make any more signings then I think we will keep him for the reasons you’ve said but for me ideally we sign another CB or 2 and then as VDV can cover at LB we move Davies on.

But totally entitled to your opinion mate 😊

I like this line up a lot. No Dier and Hojbjerg makes my heart sing.

We’ve got to expect bumps in the road and players not gelling for a while. Let’s get behind them and cut them some slack.

3-3 today.
