Can imagine the Leicester game being postponed due to their numbers as opposed to ours which will be fewer, with our isolation period being over for a number of our players, and play the Rennes game next Thursday in its place.

It all depends if they have contained their cases. Think they had pretty much a full team against napoli yesterday. According to fotmob they were missing lookman, perez, amartey, benkovic, vestergaard and iheanacho.

I don't know when they discovered their cases

I thought it was just the first team training facilities are closed, but everything else is open.

But I agree, I would think a few days off to make sure noone else tests positive before they start training again.

Expect they also did a deep clean of the whole first team area

Yeah, funny the difference a month makes isn’t it? I’ve been hoping we’d see this push on a bit, gather some momentum and change the narrative around the team. Genuinely disappointed we’ve hit this temporary pause, but it’s the right thing, of course.

Must be a concern about fixture pile-up and of course the ever present threat of further postponements. Hopefully a good sign that if we prepare for Thursday then we should have a strong starting 11 available.

Yep, as long as the outbreak is contained we need to crack on. The danger before was the risk of spread and this circuit break should have prevented that.

Thats what the Mail article says (I feel dirty for clicking). If we don't have any more players test positive this weekend (taken yesterday, results today) then the training ground will be opened and we'll have to crack on.
