If Porro doesn't have Romero next to him he is very poor. Every time Joao Pedro got the ball it led to an attempt.

Royal not helping, Porro not our only fullback to be poor today.

Also Kulusevski is an idiot.

Should be 4/5, if it weren't for the absolutely brilliant Vicario

Credit De Zerbi though, he identified how key Porro and Udogie would have been to us today and pinned them back at every opportunity.

Lucky it’s only 2.

All awful, but Hojbjerg, Davies and Emerson do not anticipate the next play. They need a touch, a look and then it’s too late at this level.
Yep its a major issue back there. Chasing shadows.

Don't or cant defend with calmness

Tonight would be bad enough for a makeshift defence - but Sarr and Hojbjerg have offered no protection and Hojbjerg hides whenever the defence have the ball. While Johnson only ever tracks back in second gear.

can someone tell emerson to please stop doing stepovers as the last man in defence? we play like its fifa sometimes with no discipline

Didn't that step over create space and lead to one of our better attacks?

Don't want to see him doing it often, but had no issues with it then.

Pathetic - this was a worse half of football than anything served up under Conte & Jose combined
nice to dislike my post - I've watched all our games doing those era's & honestly, I've never seen us look so clueless as we did tonight. This is not on ange - its on the weak minded players who are out there. Not one player showed up tonite (expect Vicario). If we think this shit is bad, wait until sunday when bournemouth gonna tear as a 3rd arsehole

There's a complete lack of presence from us in our own penalty area. This is the issue with playing full backs there.

We’re winning the possession! Amazon would have loved Villas Boas

No presence at all in midfield.

Hopefully Ange can work some magic as we could easily be 4 or 5 down.

Playing Royal, Davies and Hojbjerg is simply too many players with insufficient techincal ability on the ball.

Nothing to lose now, so GLC for Hojbjerg and Phillips or Dorrington for Emerson.
I’m no Hojbjerg fan but he was probably one of our better players in that half, which was admittedly an extremely low bar

That’s the most disorganised and pathetic defensive display i’ve seen as a Spurs game.

At least he’s cutting out some passes and trying to get us moving, Sarr been a lot worse than him but none of us wanna say it.
Nope, Sarr has been OK. I haven't seen him do the shit Holjberg has. The elder stateman, the experienced head ...

I really don’t get the argument that the 3 CBs, evening allowing for their age wouldn’t be better starting options than 2 full backs. Their positioning, thinking and anticipation is instinctive. Only way to find out if they’re good enough is to play them. Absolutely no way they’re worse than what we have out their.

Front four looking hungover. Cant reach passes they would normally have no problems with

Son has been awful. Can’t even get a touch right. A lot others bad as well. PEH not as bad as some makes him out to be.

Commentary saying that Brighton have scored 19 goals from teenagers this season, more than all the other teams combined, why can't we give the youngsters a chance?

True but we know we get the same outcome with Dier there.

The young CBs I can see why Ange isnt using them.

They would be alongside Davies, another makeshift CB and they dont have the likes of Bissouma and Bentancur in front of them so it will leave them exposed.

And a bad game could really hinder their progress.

I just think they need to come in when the situation is more stable or alongside Romero or VdV
They've been on the bench for weeks and seen no minutes when we've been comfortable. He clearly doesn't trust them for whatever reason, but I'm not buying they are a worse option than Royal or Davies at CB when you are asking them to repeatedly play out from the back.
