Well, the German league got off to a goal laden start tonight.
Bayern Munich 6:0 Werder Bremen

I guess most expected a win, but, and I hate to start a thread off all cynical... Is the Bundesliga dull because we expect Bayern to win the title by March!?

Hoping for a tighter season, though I fear most of the excitement will be around the other places and perhaps how well Bayern do in Europe.

Not a league I generally follow but that is some win. Bayern are so dominant in that league it's unreal.

Gonna be weird supporting Schalke with two former Spurs boys there who to be honest I was happy enough to see the back of..

I said "just about to start playing", Passlack is going to get games this year, he's clear No.2, I would love KWP to be in that position, where he should be.

Oh okay, didn't know they'd sold Durm and Ginter

Do you not think he'll be second choice now ?

In a word, no.

He's now started both the Super cup game against Bayern and Dortmund's first league game.

This is a good, competitive game. Schalke is putting up a hell of a fight and Bayern are not as impressive as they looked last year. Still early however and both teams have had their chances. Good to see some Spurs boys anchoring S04's MF.

Only caught the second half of this one, and though it definitely got a bit scrappy, Bayern were having most of the ball for the last 30 minutes, that still looked like a harsh scoreline on Schalke - a killer ball and a break. Going to try and watch the first half later, sounded like a good half of football.

Yeah, Lewa's goal was nice. First half was open. Bayern had most of the ball but both had chances. Weinzerl has produced an energetic S04 group. Bents was good in the 1st as was Stambouli. Both pressed and got about, showed no fear of bayern. Which according to their play they didn't warrant anyway.

Only watched it in patches, but I thought Bayern just did enough to nick the game though 2-0 looks routine when it wasn't. Bentaleb had a decent enough game in the bits I saw, as did Stambouli to be fair to him.

Pohjanpalo (21yo Fin) scored a superb hatrick for Levrkusen, who have really impressed me so far. Press really well, which is going to cause us problems if games against Everton and Liverpool are anything to go by.

Burke has setup the likely winner vs Dortmund.

Can't say I've seen much bar the obligatory youtube and championship highlights but seems to offer what we've bought Nkoudou for the same money and Sissoko for 30m for, pacey, direct but with bags of scope for improvement and home grown.

I saw a quote from his manager where he basically said that Burke has good potential but his 'hard drive' is empty, meaning that he doesn't know what to do when the opponent has possession etc.

It's as if he received no real coaching at Forest.
