With all the goals and hype that followed, Kane, in recent games, seems to have forgotten that this is a team game.
I think that he's trying too hard to win games all by himself.

In the last 2 weeks Harry has been the center of attention in the media, makes his England debut and scores his first goal.
Makes his first FULL start away to Italy and then just when he thinks he can get back to his normal job at Spurs....the manager makes him captain.

Hindsight is always 20/20. If he had scored a goal or two and won the game people would have said it was a genius move.

At this level you need to work and move as a team, we don't do it, whole host of problems in that game, players look apathetic, not prepared for a fight, no sign of any coaching, no sign of any discernible style, pressing poor, passing poor, awful team selection, no width, no pace, Kane isolated, zero pass and move, overlaps used badly or not enough.
Thought Vorm looked more settled today, only one blip missed clearance.
Back four did well being so young and pretty makeshift.
Rose again looked up for battle.

Pretty tough watch that one.

I think I need @thinktank to provide some optimism as after today's performance I have to question Pochettino's sanity.
Got nothing for ya, mate.

I'm hoping he's trying to prove some sort of point to Levy about depth of squad (?). Paul'o certainly seemed like a selection made with the window in mind. Maybe some itk will enlighten us all about poch's mode of thought at the moment.

We held a clean sheet against a tough team to play at their gaff but the performance was unacceptable overall, just in the sheer lack of desire alone (barring Rose who was our MoM).

Not hanging around on here for the throat slashing fest though. :D Never thought we'd make 4th this season and still think we'll end up 6th as I have done all along.

My focus has been on next season for so long, I can deal with the current fog surrounding poch's selection choices and still have faith that we'll have an exciting squad next season that will better suit our purposes overall.

I'm off to do the dishes.

Well he's gonna have to, because the midfield did bugger all to help today.

Once again - No passion. The hurt and pain I feel when we do turn over the easier team convincingly is incredible, why do our players not feel the same, it is embarrassing to say the least.
todays games done me a favour. I was planning my work around our games and leaving last day of the season free from work but now i could nt care less. if players cant be bothered why should we? We still had an outside chance of top four but the players today were totally on the beach.

At 1.25pm today, with an outside possibility of Champions League football and a great opportunity to finish above Liverpool at stake, the following occured in the Away dressing room at Turf Moore:

Mauricio Pochettino (calmly): Just go out there, relax and play your natural game. The result will come.

Michel Vorm - Listened keenly
Danny Rose - Seemed demotivated and confused
Vlad Chiriches - Seemed relaxed
Eric Dier - Nothing specific noted
Kyle Walker - Didn't really seem to be listening
Nabil Bentaleb - Seemed relaxed
Ryan Mason - Seemed relaxed
Paulinho - Looked happy
Nacer Chadli - Looked happy
Christian Eriksen - Seemed demotivated and confused
Harry Kane - Seemed demotivated and confused

To be fair, he's been getting the ball about once every 20 minutes. He's got to make something out of nothing, or give it to another player and wait for the next 20 minutes for it to get back.

We've been leaking goals all season.

With our recent poor form and a partly make-shift defence today, we were lucky to get a point away against a team battling against relegation. Not much positives today but I'll take this and also that we've moved above Saints.

Mate, forget the nonsense about proving a point to Levy, it's flat out bizarre batshit mental team selection, he's getting it wrong.

Raj Bains of Rule The Roost tweeted that the game was between a team of tired, underprepared players and a rested, well-drilled team. I think that's a fair assessment. We did create enough on the counterattack to have scored, but our forwards weren't at the races, including Kane. We clearly didn't press much today. I am not sure how much longer the Bentaleb-Mason axis in midfield should continue: neither was that good, but Mason's passing was poor. I didn't understand Atkinson's leniency towards Burnley, who got away with a lot. I expect the Goons will beat them next week.

I love Spurs with all my heart, but unless Poch gets his players in the summer then missing out on Champs League is a bonus, cause with that display today we would be embarrassed in the comp.

out thought, out fought, out passed (our passing of late is pretty crap)

I've been watching Spurs for over 30 years and that's got to be in the top 3 for the most boring game ever for me, and I've watched some turgid crap from Graham, Santini and even AVB but that had me wanting to watch some of the Dulux dry instead
