We can finish strong.

Whether we will is a much less certain answer. We're also very capable of slipping away.

I always thought we'd have a strong finish to the season, which would begin as soon as we suffered our traditional exit from the Europa League.

Which was why the United match was so strange. Two straight wins and then a whole week to prepare for the game (for one of the first times this season!).

Yet we were so poor that I'm now not really sure what to think...

Look, I guess if we were to now bounce back and win 6-7 games in our run-in, I'd be delighted. I'm not getting my hopes up, though, as young teams are notoriously inconsistent.

That haul (68 - 71 pts) most likely would not be enough to secure 4th place (for that I think we'll need 72 - 74 points).

However, a good run would show we have some backbone, ambition and - crucially - we are starting to learn from our mistakes both individually and collectively.

These are qualities we simply must show every week if we want to compete at the top.

Not getting my hopes up but I am certainly looking forward to seeing us play our remaining games. I always do!

Whilst, like others, I want us to sort out the squad in the summer and get Poch who he needs, the summer/transfer window always drags on so painfully and these next few weeks are what it's all about.

Let's give it a good old go!

COYS!

(P.S. Does anyone know if we can get Pritchard back to play a few games or is that not possible until the Championship finishes? Or will Levy never allow it because he's suspended... :playful:)

Is Pritchard suspended? Never heard that.

Don't think so, but if Brentford were to miss out on the play-offs (or get automatic promotion) we could potentially have him back for our last three games.

we'll get at least 9 points from the next four fixtures, which is exactly enough for one last up-swing on the Spurs rollercoaster thrill ride of emotions.
