I know it will never happen but would love to see a 442 with a midfield of Capoue, Sandro, Dembele and Pauliniho. No subtlety, full on steamroller...

and then back to reality :)

He should partner Dembele with Sandro partnering Paulinho

We will see.... lets lock this now and talk at the end of the season, providing both players remain fully fit ,who will be our holding player most of the time.

Modern football has changed, you watch all the top teams in europe,( where we want to be) and they keep the ball for fun, all players are totally comfortable on the ball, and there holding player starts alot of the moves..with the way the laws have changed regarding tackling, the need for a robust tackling midfield player is going more and more out of fashion, how many can you think of at the very top clubs? Capoue is your modern holding player and the way forward ....IMO ofc.

By the end of the season I think our wing options will end up being:

RW: Lamela & Lennon
LW: Townsend & Chadli

Whilst I agree that we would benefit more from having Townsend on the left I don't think he'll be so keen to switch. It was moving Bale to that RW position that really helped him push on last season and do what he did.

If anything I think we're more likely to see Lamela there as it would be an easier opportunity for him to break into the first team.

Brilliant news - especially in light of an injury we all thought was close to season-ending!

Also, it's another option for CB as well so he really is a great squad player to have.

Great news, like Kaboul as well.

Now we just need Rose back to fit - not heard anything for a while.
