Really good game.

Celtic opening the scoring in the first few minutes. Weir equalised, and Cousin has just put Rangers 2-1 up.

Still in the first half! Eek

I recommend you whack Setanta on, or find a stream.

Great stuff. This could go either way!

I'm genuinely starting it as an advert for the game, rather than to brag :)

Really good game, and one that Flatters could do with watching

Whittaker sent off in the final seconds, and that's full time.

Celtic 3-2 Rangers.

The title could go right to the wire.

What. The. Fuck.

I just looked at the Scottish table and what the fuck's that all about??? Why can no team from the bottom 6 climb into the top 6 and vice versa during the last 5 games of the season?

Aberdeen are currently 6th on 47 points and Hearts are 7th with 48 points. You what??

That has to be the most fucked up rule ever, or am i missing something here?

SPL splits into a top and bottom half towards the end of the season. I can't recall why that rule was implemented, but that's the reason. I suppose it makes things more competitive for the chase for the title/europe and the relegation battle.

But how can it make things more competitive?

If the team in 6th place is 30 points behind the top 4 but only 6 points ahead of the bottom placed team (for instance), they can then lose the rest of their games 54-0 and not go down whatever happens.

The split if I remember correctly was to increase the number of matches over a season due to the lack of teams in the league. They play each team a guaranteed 3 times in each season. After the first 33 league games are played the league splits and they top 6 play each other once and the bottom 6 play each other once. This is so the league last the standard 38 games a year. Otherwise if they played each other twice they would play only 22 games a year or if they played 4 times a year they would play 44 game and the fixture list couldn't handle it.

Essentially every team has until a certain point to get themselves into a position of safety. If they don't, they compete with the teams who have the lowest number of points to see who goes down. The same applies to the top of the table, even though it's obvious that Celtic and Rangers will compete exclusively for the title. The rest tend to battle it out for Europe.

Rangers robbed again, denied a pen last week and Robson should of been sent off.
This week denied a penalty,an offside goal and another how jan stayed on is beyond me.
I thought our refs were poor!
