Stones with another blinder tonight...

That boy is seriously overhyped. I keep saying it, and I stand by it. He has the tools, he's a good prospect, but he needs to learn how to fucking defend and not try to play himself out of trouble. Cruyff turns in your own box is suicide.

Actually think he should've gone to work with Mourinho instead. He can coach defenders, Guardiola can't.

Arsenal are annoyingly consistent, i know they won't win the CL but still hate seeing them giving teams a pasting. Hopefully their league form starts to tail off soon. Just want them to play Europa League football for once.

I know Pep knows his shit.

But the crap around Hart not being ood enough with his feet, and bringing Bravo in for 16million is just laughable.....

I said it when City splashed out.
He wasn't all that when he was at Everton, but got all the plaudits because he's young and English.
Huge price tag and not competent enough to be put in the firing line straight away at somewhere like City.

Wenger has made the type of additions this year that were far from spectacular (and many Gooners were moaning about it showing a lack of ambition to win the league) but have really added quality to the few areas they were lacking and I fear it has pretty much completed them as a team

Xhaka has added that solid quality in the centre of the park which has been something of a soft spot for them over the years

Mustafi has also added some real quality to them and doesn't lack pace like Mertesacker which has given Koschelney more licence to play his own game without having to keep an eye on his CB partner being exposed and he's now looking top draw

Those two in front of Cech is very solid

So now they have a very solid and stable base that really allows the like of Ozil, Sanchez and even Walcott to flood forward and attack teams (not to mention the pace they have down the flanks from full backs)

They only area you could say they're a little weak is the true striker position as Girou has never quite been top quality in the EPL and so far Perez hasn't shown anything to suggest he's the new Henry or RVP either

Hate to see it but they've a great shot at the title this year, even when they play poorly they find a way to score (like against Burnley) and with Ozil in the team they're always going to make chances plus they have pace everywhere and the tactics and movement that any Wenger team possesses and in Sanchez are truly special player

I hope I'm over hyping them but I think they're a different beast this year than they've been for the last decade

Yep they have added depth now, and they haven't sold any of their stars. Add to the players you mentioned Iwobi also looks like he's becoming very effective and efficient for them.

And although they don't have a quality no9, Sánchez is doing the job for them pretty well at the moment. I'm quite worried about them, they've been on a great run since their opening day defeat. We have them soon I think and it will be a very tough game the way they're playing.

Yeah but February, let's just wait until we get to there before we start bigging up Arsenal. Their Achilles heel has constantly been their mental strength and they normally cave in when the CL games re-commence and when the season starts getting down to the final hurdle so we won't know if they've managed to make the step up until later in the season.

Some of his decision making is mind-blowing for their third goal, gundogan did a dangerous pass back

Now if you watch him, instead of trying to get to the ball or staying on his toes. He sets himself up like a players is running at him with his heels in the ground and standing up tall or is if he is blocking someone and is resembling a statue, suarez just strolls past him.

I cant think why he would think of doing that when the ball is going back towards you. People say Martinez was a poor coach for defenders but Pep imo doesnt have a great record of making great CB's. In la liga his CB's were DM's hence why Mascherano can be a great CB for Barcelona.

Yeah, I'm watching the replay of that goal and I can't work out what he's trying to do. He could easily reach that ball if he wants to. The pass is awry, but not so bad that he can't get to it or doesn't have the time to. It looks like he's trying to do some weird dummy in which Suarez will think he's trying to control it so he goes to challenge Stones and Stones in turn can just be a shield and block him off whilst it rolls back to the keeper. Either way he's either being very stupid or too clever for his own good. He's got a lot to learn still.

Looked like a penalty to City there to me.

But yeah I agree, sounds eerily flat.

City should have had a penalty. But Sterling made too much of it and was booked for diving instead :ROFLMAO:
