Champions League Final- Man utd V. Chelsea

So it's the big one tonight. 2 english teams battling it out for the first time ever in the final.
What are peoples opinions or hopes for tonight?

To be honest i am finding the coverage of this whole thing so OTT that i have switched off totally from it. Avoiding all press coverage. There were two programmes leading up to it yesterday, one on Sky and one on ITV. SSN are extracting every last embarrasing sinew of news coverage out of it in order to fill air time. Talk Sport have even sent that numpty Mike Parry out there (God help the Russians). Newspaper pull outs. Every news bulletin....:bang:

I think the Mail did a profile on Chelsea and Man U WAGs FFS. And the Telegraph had the team line ups by weekly wage and transfer value. :bang:

We are so immersed in the whole circus that i have had enough.

Lets just play football!!

As for the game - Hate Chelsea. Man U are nothing more than spurs fans insurance policy in as far as they are the team we rely on to stop other teams we hate winning things, but the whole Man U band wagon built on the disaster of 1958 rolls on mercilessly. 10 premierships in 15 years should be enough to make us sick let alone the arrogance.

I guess its the lesser of two evils for me.

There are so many players on show tonight that i dislike that i am hoping that there are lots of injuries a few red cards and united win. I know that fergie will be all smug but i cant bear the thought of terry, lampard, cashley and drogba giving it loads if they win.

worst bit of reporting i've seen seen was this morning from that annoying bint Fiona Phillips from GMTV!!
she was in Moscow giving it large about Chelsea being the best team ever! plastic bloody fans.

Unfortunately I will miss it tonight, i've got some toenails to pick and some needles to poke in my eyes, much more fun than watching chelsea play Man Utd even if it is a final, in fact particularly when it is a final.

Oh for the romance of the European cup.

Man U, used to hate them with a vengeance (nearly as much as Arsenal)
but I have mellowed, I have an intense dislike for Chelsea going back to 1972 when they knocked us out of the LCF in the semi's.

Well, let's hope they'll try to play some football.. and please let United win.. couldn't bare hearing the smugness of the likes of Terry, Cashley, Lampard and Drogba... and United's nothing as a rival to me really, only irritated about the Mendes goal that wasn't... I've been lucky enough to have gone to 90% of our European away games this season and experienced some great atmospheres, looking at the coverage over in Moscow it looks so crap out there! no singing and no banners?! I really hope that **** Terry is not picking up the famous trophy tonight, come on Man Yoo

With the FA cup final Portsmouth Vs Cardif, they realy did have to turn the attention to something else.

It is OTT, but its not like its a surprise its OTT.

Want ManU to win. Better team, playing better football.
