Oh dear! The fun hasn't worn off yet, I'm still laughing like a drain at the look on his face!

I'm not quite as happy as when we hammered the Goons 5-1 (shit-eatting grin for 3 days), but I'm certainly elated.

What a great end to a somewhat bizarre season for us Spurs fans.

AS TCO has pointed out - we mainly bought our success in the 60s - not to the extent of CFc or MU nowadays- but we were the chequebook club - the biggest spenders of all during our most successful period - not really a coincidence is it

all the great stars of the early 60s team Jones Smith white Blanchflower Mackay Norman Greaves were expensive signings - at least 3 of them record signings -

the 67 Cup winning team that also finished 3rd in the league was almost exclusively bought - and expensively so - my guess would be it cost more than the Liverpool team but didn't have the same success - tho probably played better football

I think only Frank Saul and Kinnear weren't bought- and Saul often suffered as being seen as unglamorous compared to the big money strikers Gily Smith and Greaves

Watching that, he made out he slipped after he'd already struck the ball. Lying cheating toad. He missed the Pen and then collapsed. Plonker.

Well Done Man Utd , we were rooting for you !!

Respect to Avram Grant - Good Luck with your new team.

HaHa - Drogba + Terry + Ashley

Lets leave Frank out of it seeing as he's had a bad time lately.

Also a mention for Bobby Charlton - very honourable & with class & dignity.

Unlike Peter Kenyon.

In the fiver from the Guardian, some guy wrote in in reference to ten Cate saying that the fifth penalty would have been Drogba's
"If John Terry was taking Didier Drogba's place in the shootout, is that why he fell over in the penalty area without anyone touching him?"

Thought I should pass that on.
