Van Bommel was impressive tonight, really drove forward from midfield.
I was impressed with him too. He's like a manager on the pitch. He was telling the players what to do all night. He never wasted a pass either.

i dont mind ch£l$ki gettin the title, but no way i want the bummers to win it. I dont really want man utd winning it for a record 4th consecutive time.

Given the possible benefits to us, i want Rooney to be out for the 2nd leg of this tie (so manure get knocked out, barca win the cl) but be back before the city clash. whoever said old trafford is a 0 point zone is right, we wont get anythihgn there so no point trying.

As much as I dislike Man U and Ferguson, surely it would be better for us if they were still involved in CL semis around the time of our game against them. Plus, after getting the blatant help from referees to scrape through against Fiorentina in the previous round, I do not want to see Bayern progress any further in this year's competition.
Plus the more English clubs go further in Europe, the better it is for the clubs like Spurs in terms of cup places and seedings.

i thought the qualifying stage that we would end up in (should we finish 4th) was no longer seeded as of this season to give teams from smaller nations more chance of getting to the group stages?

just read the above post again and didnt mention qualifying just that we'd be better off if english teams progressed this year

Its still seeded, but they separated it into champions and non-champions paths. So instead of 4th in England playing the Lithuania champion, they might have to play 3rd from Germany or 4th from Italy. That way some of the smaller countries get into the group stage.
